Some recognizable on air talent going. Somehow Screamin A Racist survived.

Yeah, I'm reading the list that has come out so far. I guess Fox sports will be getting a bunch of new talent..haha

Ed Werder is the most recognizable name I see (but that maybe because I watch more Football - outside of the Trail Blazers of course).

ESPN is losing money big time! I have lost a ton of summer work with them. All of their soccer broadcasts are now done out of Bristol in a control room instead of having a full crew out at the games. They are calling them 'Remis' and they are killing us work wise. I lost my golf package with the Golf Channel because of this as well. Sports tv is a changin'.

Russillo in a reduced role? Kannell gone

Yet First Take and Michael and Jamelle still there. Glad to see Lebatard and Bomani Jones still there

I'm pissed about Russillo and Kannell. I love their radio show, listened almost every day while at work.

Fingers crossed that Stephen A Dipshit gets the kicked to the curb.

How were you able to listen AND take people's taco orders in the little booth?

Yeah; streaming is eating cable's lunch at the macro level, and that just makes the current CBA seem more insane. In ten years we will marvel from our bomb shelters at how over the top it was.

They signed contracts with sports leagues for WAAAY TOO MUCH money! I read they pay out over $6 billion per year in rights fees. The bubble will burst and broadcasters as well as sports leagues will feel the pain.

Being in the industry, where do you see the future being? Whispers have been that Netflix may try to break into sports...that would make sense to me, but they've come out and denied that recently.

Yeah, I usually listened to Rusillo and Kannell over lunch. Surprised.

They got rid of Ethan Strauss. He's been covering the Warriors for a few years. I enjoy him on the Truehoop pod

My money's on Amazon. They've got an interesting habit of storming in and swinging a ton of money around to get exclusives behind their Prime paywall.
