They just don't have enough playmakers at crunch time. Any other team probably would be up 3-1 in that game.

They have playmakers. No finishers. As has been the story the last 5 plus years lol.

Its going to be a long series (as fucking usual for this team). I still think they win the series but those of us who thought this would be over in 5 like me needs to pay attention to history.

I would be surprised if the Rangers don't play a great game on Saturday

Nice atmosphere in Ottawa tonight. What a joke that crowd was horrible

Shame on the players in front of Lundqvist. They failed him miserably. AV and staff cannot solve
the trap. Lundqvist deserved better and did not get it from anyone.

That's why I figured 6. Still think that will be the case because I expect them to play much better in game 2, as they did in game 4 against Montreal after a terrible game 3, but now they face a huge game 2. And if they stole tonight it would have been a big boost and almost locked in a series win I think.

They played their worst playoff game of the year and lost on a goal off Stepan and then off Lundqvists back

    Rangers in 6

This team failed offensively, defensively, on the PP and the PK. Only Hank played well overall. Zucc did good but missed out on a few chances with carrying the puck too long.

If they won tonight the would lose G2 for sure (like the previous 5 years of playoffs). Its simply the Rangers way to make things more difficult than they need to be.

Flush the game and go tie the series on Sat

And yet they still only lost 2-1 on a fluke goal late in the 3rd 94. That's the point to me. If they play a decent game they win this series.

The offense has to be alot crisper and people like Grabner have to finish as he will get chances.

I think if they won tonight it would've been over in 5. Now it's definitely going 6 if not 7. Hopefully not though. Hopefully this team takes it as a wake up call and gets their asses in gear (especially Hayes who had without a doubt a worse game then Holden in game 1 against Montreal lol).

That's why it's frustrating. I'm not mad, just frustrated that we had them on the ropes and then shut it down.

It's like I said. It's one game. I expect a better effort on Saturday.

Kinda like game 3. If they play any worse in the next game they might as well pack it up lol. I expect a better effort and a big win. Like 4-1 type of win.

Watching the Pens and Caps game and the passing is amazing. We would have lost 6-1 to the Pens tonight

It's some series when you consider the talent out there on both sides.

Incredibly frustrating to lose when your goalie plays that well. Even more so when the game winner was a garbage fluke. But it shouldn't have come down to that. Forwards needs to show up Saturday. They woke up after the game 3 stinker and they'll wake up here. A lot of proud men in that room and they'll respond. We win in 6.

Yeah, you hope to get by Ottawa, a team we clearly should beat, and then you pray. We would need a miracle to beat the Pens/Caps in the ECF. But first things first, need to win game 2 on Saturday.

Plus side is I'm not sure how we could play worse. So there's that.

Wow what a flurry around Fleury.

Not sure why the whistle came. Puck was still out.
