Not my post but I thought it was badass. Examples of Wade's Preferrential Treatment 1) http://www.youtube.com/v/aySGUzzxjGE Please notice: That was in crunch time in 4th quarter too. I am disgusted, appauled, and offended that more fans dont speak up and voice their disgust. This happened even worse in the playoffs last year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QLTtl6sbnEHe travels 3 times on this play. He takes 3 steps first of all without dribbling....one. Then he switches anchors....two....then he switches anchors....again....three.http://www.youtube.com/v/cFSd5YE63Dw ....Wades patented traveling spin move. 4) http://www.youtube.com/v/5y8nI1PPYOk Here is 1 of the 5 phantom fouls posted on youtube...the final one..that gave heat the game. He basically elbowed Dirk in the face and was rewarded with two free throws. There are 5 of these just from game 6....I wont post them all...you can search for "phantom foul" on youtube for yourself. But I will post one of them. 5) http://www.youtube.com/v/JZyD3Zjuxvw If this isn't evidence of biased officiating, I dont know what is. The officials basically reward Wade for just running into people with his elbows. Why do they reward the offensive player when he is the one initiating contact? I will never understand this.STATISTICAL EVIDENCEhttp://www.82games.com/fouldraw.htmESPN ANALYST AGREES WADE GETS PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT SportsNation Chris Sheridan: (12:40 PM ET ) You're preaching to the choir here, Oliver. every single night D-Wade gets three gift whistles (which even LeBron and Kobe don't get) at a minimum, and one or two late whistles, too. He's treated as preferrentially as Jordan was at the peak of his game, and it is infuriating to watch (unless you're a Heat fan). And I say all that being one of the biggest D-Wade guys around, a Marquette grad even. But it's just plain unfair to see one guy get such special treatment. It takes away from the game. PLAYERS AND COACHES THOUGHTS "He gets all the calls, that's what makes him special.'' - Gerald Wallace "It's unbelievable what he gets away with.'' - Bob Hill "I can't believe he has the audacity to complain to the refs, he should be grateful for what they've done for him in his career. He is what he is today because of them." - P.J. Brown "He travels on that spin move. He picks up that pivot foot... everybody knows it. Dwayne Wade can cover so much ground when he makes that move. As you know, he can go 20 feet with that spin move and get to the basket." - Phil Jackson "You can't do nothing to D-Wade," Wallace said. "If you say boogety-boogety-boo to him, that's a foul." - Rasheed WallaceYou are an amazing player Dwayne. I love watching you shoot free throws." - Mark Cuban Interviewer: "Was it a little ridiculous how Dwyane Wade got all the calls?" Tracy McGrady: "Yeah, yeah it really was. I'll tell you man, it seems if you were watching that game, seemed like it was rigged. Seriously. I know the NBA.... (cut off by interviewer)." Interviewer: "You just got fined (sarcastically)." Tracy McGrady: "I don't care. So what? But yeah it seemed like it was rigged. With all the calls he was getting. Jesus. Did you hear me? We are talking about the NBA Finals, I wish I could say I was just kidding, and that's what it seemed like." REACHING NEW HEIGHTS Wade gets 41 points on 9 made shots (no 3 pointers)DOUBLE STANDARDKobe recieved an unwarranted 1 game suspension for hitting Manu Ginobili in the face with a vicious (albeit accidental; grow up, he didn't mean to hit dude) elbow. No sane person agreed with your decision.. Since when does the league judge 'intentions' of players. Yet Lebron doesn't get suspended when hitting Wade on the fly and just as accidental. Being that it was above the shoulders as why Stu Jackson suspended Kobe you would expect the same...nope. http://www.youtube.com/v/YermCUjW6Q8In the begining of this vid, D.Wade, M.Miller, J. I understand this isn't your post but seriously...there are a billion posts in this, I think we get the point about Wade and his special treatment. There is evidence, quotes and others opinions saying he gets special treatment, enough is enough.Sorry to take this out on you Lakersfan btw.

Wade needs to stop getting all these bullsh** calls, but until then, I dont see the problem with people complaning. They should.

You know, I understand Wade getting calls for taking it to the hole strong, and if that is what the refs are rewarding players for, then why wasnt Kobe getting the calls in that game? He got fouled MUCH harder than Wade did on any play and they didnt call it. Also, that foul they called on Dirk was ridiculous. He wasnt even going to touch him and then Wade throws out his arm and gets the foul call. And that was in crunch time of the final game of the Championship. What bullsh**....

It isn't just Wade, every star in this league gets a lot of bullsh** calls. This is one reason why a lot of people are going away from the NBA, because they feel it's rigged so that the league can hype its marquee players. if you notice the most fairly called playoffs since the mid 90s was a couple years ago, when the Spurs and Pistons made it to the finals. those teams played basketball on both ends of the court, thats why they made it to the finals, and both have won titles. the 2005 NBA finals were a debacle from ABCs standpoint, because the hip-hop generation of dumbass fans don't want to see defense, they think scoring is everything. since than defense has been all but elimiated from the NBA.If the league would go back to allowing basketball, were hard fouls do occur than this league would be so much better and fans and players could stop feeling like they're watching a roundball version of WCW.

This is why I will never classify D Wade as the best in the game, you can say all you want, good driver, good whatever, but getting at least 10 PPG off free throws is proposterous. That drops his totals down to 18 PPG, which doesn't make him a bad ass superstar does it now? Anyways, leave the MVP chants for Kobe.

Wade goes to hole more often and more agressively than anyone else in the league, and sells fouls better than most (with exception to AI).Wade's travelling:His spin move is the SAME spin move all the other stars use. You can argue it not being a travel as he doesn't pickup dribble until what people say is his 2nd step. Also, let's take a look at some classic LeBron James footage:http://youtube.com/watch?v=hH73R9GIbXghttp://youtube.com/watch?v=EGiBXYJiTF8 (what probably won the series for the Cavs)Bron's foul on wade vs Kobe's on Manu:Kobe didn't deserve a suspension, but he did throw arm out intentionally and did hit him good in the face. Bron simply tried to wrap Wade up, but Wade ducked at the very last second. Neither deserves a fine or suspension, but Bron's was less worse.I'm so sick of topics about Wade and getting special treatment. Does he get away with a lot? of course, but as does Kobe, LeBron, AI, etc... No one said a word about AI getting to the line 12x per game last year. No one says a word when Bron travels about 3x a game and nothing called. Refs rarely give technicals to Kobe who is a non-stop bi*cher (keep in mind Kobe is one of my favorite players, but it's true). Arenas gets many of the same type of calls Wade gets. Wade goes to the line more than anyone else in the league because he goes to basket more often, more agressively and sells fouls better than anyone else. It's that simple. And the fouls he gets at basket are rarely phantom calls, the only fouls that really are questionable are the handchecking ones while driving to basket (something refs allow defenders to do to some players, and not others).

But if you watched the game all of his free-throws were legit. They were either technicals or him getting fouled in the act of shooting or hacked downlow. There was one legit non foul that Kobe got bailed out on when Girceck held his hands up.(tickytack foul) but besides that Kobe was getting hit a great deal. As for Kobe not getting technicals...techs like these? http://youtube.com/watch?v=qYPujQiKIzEFor the record, Kobe gets his handful of techs. BTW if you watched the game before last against Golden State, Steve Javie was letting Kobe have it. Kobe got HACKED and I mean drilled on several occasions and could not get the call. Kobe got a tech that night too. (Sunday)Just look at the video of the Heat playing in Los Angeles in this thread. Wade clearly gets alot more preferential treament than Kobe.

Kobe didn't get one freethrow until late 4th quarter while Wade got a sh*t load. I don't care if it doesn't show the "whole story" for what it showed can you seriously tell me that was not preferential treatment towards Wade and bias against Kobe? Even Ballerman agreed.

Kobe does a crapload of complaining in which the refs just ignore. Each superstar gets away with something and gets treatment that your average player doesn't get. Kobe is no exception.
QUOTE

Doesn't tell the whole story? Kobe didn't get one freethrow until late 4th quarter while Wade got a sh*t load. It wasn't just a Kobe-Wade thing, the whole Lakers team was getting hacked with no calls, while Miami was getting benefit of the doubt. But, Kobe is leading the league in personal fouls called, and he does average over 9FTA per game despite going to basket far less than Wade. Not to mention he tries to avoid contact and make shot rather than draw contact like Wade. That is the big difference between Kobe and AI/Wade (AI is also very much like Wade, always initiates contact and gets foul called, despite it being minimal contact).

Exactly, Kobe tries to avoid the foul and still gets fouled the most where as Wade initiates all the contact if any and gets the call. If anything this thread proves that.

What does this thread prove? It's a bunch of quotes, some stats that show that Kobe gets most fouls called in league, and a few videos of phantom calls (which, as I showed with Bron's travelling, that all superstar's get superstar treatment in one regard or another). And as I said, the travelling call on wade is something all players do, and can be argued that it is not a travel (I'm talking the spin move). Kobe trying to avoid the foul and make the play rather than initiate contact is exactly why he doens't get as many calls as people think he should. AI does it, and it is why he had 12FTA's last seaosn, and 10 this season. Wade does it, and it is why he is always high on the list of most FTA's oer game. Despite this, he has most fouls called in league, and gets over 9FTA's over game despite taking around 60 less shots at basket than Wade (despite playing in about 8 or more games). As I said in my first post, all superstars get tratment in some way, shape or form.

Yeah Wade gets prefential treamment and it makes me sick. Now sure alot of them are actually fouls but they are soft fouls, AI Kobe and the like get fould dam hard for thier ft's.It makes me think two things- 1. the refs are disgusting pigs wrecking the game I love.2. Team should foul the sh*t out of wade when he goes to the basket! Make him earn the FT's - they know he going to get a call so smash him so he knows he's been fouled!!!!Wade is out now call it unlucky call it Karma but the refs might call a fair game for the rest of the season - lets hope so!

Nitro, you would see Wade complaining more if he didnt get every call imaginable. Gosh it bothers me that people like yourself would be biased enough to even think Wade deserves all the calls that he gets. Get real. He flops more than anyone in the league that isnt name Manu Ginobili. He gets touched and his ass is going to the ground. Why doesn't he scream a little bit louder going to the basket. Maybe people in Orlando can hear him next time. He exagerrattes calls out the ass, he flops, and he gets away with it more than 100 percent of the people in the league. I guess the refs do reward people for playing pussy basketball...

Hahahaha, I know the problem. It's all those damn pads he wears, you could punch him anywhere and he wouldn't feel it. If he took off the pads, he'd start feeling some of his drives and probably not drive so much. Like Iverson.

The only star treatement kobe gets is that he complains alot and with reason. Other than that, he just might be the most direspected superstar in the league.

*Rok breaks out a record of Nitro's tune to Dwyane Wade*Can we quit with the broken record of Dwyane Wade/Nitro homerism of defending him already. I've seen enough of these threads.
