Game Thread 4/29/17 Game 2 New York Rangers vs Ottawa Senators

This team has no chance w how Miller Kreider Stepan and Hayes playing. Another horrible turnover Miller

 

5 v 5 is even and definitely favors us when we play like we give a shit and use our speed. However, the refs are making sure that 5 v 5 doesn't happen much and are gonna call it tight on the Rangers and obviously loose on the Sens. AV should call the officiating a disgrace during his in game interview and refuse to answer any other questions.

 

Miller is killing every play. He needs to be on the 4th line

 

I'd be more concerned that Stepan Kreider Hayes and Miller are garbage through both playoff series so far then the refs.

 

Miller needs to be in the stands for Glass or Pirri. Either of them would be better at this point. And then tell Kreider, Hayes and Stepan that they're next if they don't step it up. That's the problem right now. Those 4 are coasting because AV won't bench them and they know it, yet he'll take Buch off the ice when he's a reliable forward.

 

When we spend 6 of the first 10 minutes on the PK and then a blatant trip in front of the Rangers bench goes uncalled, I'm concerned about all of it.

 

Rangers are not playing crisp. Dumb penalties, undisciplined play, pucks bouncing off their sticks, missing connection on passes, Hank with a very soft goal allowed.

Not much to say really. The Rangers are not playing well at all through 4 periods of this series. Only fair to give Ottawa credit, but the undisciplined play and lack or crispness to even handle the puck is difficult to say credit Ottawa there.

Need to play much better. Not much else to say.

 

It's hard to get anything going if you are shorthanded almost half a period. The team is stupid along with the refs being biased towards a Canadian team.

 

It's all 4 of them. Let's not pretend one has been much worse than the others. Hayes was horrific in game 1. Miller makes dumb play after dumb play. Stepan has produced few chances and gets beat on every draw, and Kreider is invisible.

All 4 of them have been no shows for almost all 7 + games so far.

 

Every single one of those plays was a penalty. Should Ottawa have gotten one when they tripped the Ranger at the blue line...yes, but those were all penalties. We need to play smarter. That is on us not the refs.

 

Not that Buch has played well but the idiot already benched Buch at the end of the period but useless garbage trio continues getting all the icetime.

 

I never said they weren't penalties. I actually already addressed that. But to call it one sided is what is frustrating and why AV needs to call it out. I have no issues with the calls if they are even. It's when it becomes so blatantly one sided that I have an issue.

Lets see if they can respond better for the rest of the game but If not then I am all for giving Pirri, Puempel and Beck a chance next game. At least these guys will give an effort unlike these bozos.

 

I'm officially concerned. Mostly because half of our skill forwards can't do anything even making simple plays through a trap, let alone score.

22 periods of poor play is a trend for sure. Not sure these guys are going to figure it out.

Anyone's game and series but we need much much more from too many players. We'll see if they get it

 

these refs are fucking joke at this point. Ottawa can pretty much do anything they want and they wont be called.

Well it's definitely Rangers vs Ottawa and the refs. Too many men, BLATANTLY MISSED. Interference on fast as he was driving not called. AV needs to tell the guys to just get ready to get fcked by the refs and to do their best to win this game despite that.
