If the Toronto Raptors had Dwight Howard, and the Orlando Magic had Chris Bosh, both teams would have better records.Agree or disagree? The Raptors need big defense. Dwight Howard is the big defensive center that every team covets. He's not too shaby on offense either, and this opens up the door for Andres Bargniani. The Magic need more points on the board. Chris Bosh can put up points for the Magic. He is a pretty solid defender and rebounder too, not on the level of Dwight, but not far behind. He could take most if not all of the scoring load off of Grant Hill's shoulders. It seems logical, tear me apart CB4. :happy0144:

Disagree. I don't think Dwight could carry the load of scoring on a nightly basis like Bosh does, and I don't think Bosh could anchor the defense or boards like Dwight can.

Agree with everything you say pretty much but Dwight Howard is not the scorer that Bosh is, he can't create shots like Bosh. He is a better defensive player though so that pretty much equals it out.

I agree with your statement. I think that if the Raptors had a good defensive inside presence like Dwight, they would definitely benefit from it. I also think that Dwights scoring #'s would go up due to the fact that he would be around more "true point guards". As for the Magic, they could use the extra scoring, and Bosh isnt a terrible defender. Even if Bosh isnt as good as a defender as Dwight, they still have one of the best defensive teams in the league, and their offense would definitely improve.

Could they increase individual success by switching teams and focusing on their "weakness" (Bosh's defense, Howard's offense)? yesCould they increase team success by switching teams? I doubt it. Both of these franchises have built around their star's strength switching star players would more than likely throw a wrench into each team's system. Toronto needs Bosh's offense in order to win games as Howard alone isn't going to make them that much of a better defensive unit while Orlando needs Howard's defense as they don't rely that much on any one player to score (Bosh's +4 advantage over the next raptor in FGA while Howard is only 3rd on the Magic with the top 4 distributed evenly).
