And you are always so quick to fill that void of knowledge with your own "member" post...

I like at least two of those 'defensive oriented' picks.

For those interested, here is Semi Ojeleye vs. another swing forward draft prospect, D.J. Wilson.

Justin Patton, Harry Giles, Terrence Ferguson, Dwyane Bacon, and Caleb Swanigan.

    Those are my five.

I think if Giles stays healthy, he could become a 20/10 guy. Big if, obviously. Either way, I think it's worth the gamble even if we end up looking like fools for picking an injury prone big man.

Ferguson and Bacon both would fit in this team and provide energy and defense. The Blazers should at least grab one of them.

Patton is a decent grab but nothing special. If we want a key back up center, he's it. And imo, he's better than TJ Leaf and possibly John Collins.

Swanigan is interesting due to his length and size. He could become a very good roleplayer like Jae Crowder is to the Celtics. If Patton is not available, we should pick him up.

I'm also a supporter of Jordan Bell. Don't know how good he'll be but he can prove serviceable in the NBA imo. Maybe we can trade cash for a second round pick.

I don't like Bacon at all, for the same reason I don't like John Collins. Whenever I watched him, he looked mechanical. I think he'll struggle mightily against NBA length and athleticism.

My resolution is not to care this year, because inevitably we're not going to draft who I want, and either (a) that guy will turn out good and I'll feel rage and self-righteous indignation, or (b) he won't and I'll've fallen in love for nothing.

Of course there's no way I won't break this resolution because there's over a month to go.

Don't forget decision making & BB IQ.
Although it would be fun to have him on the team just for the last name...

    @Rastapopoulos

Really? This is probably going to be like the 96 Draft with star players hidden outside of the Top 10. I'd be a little excited.

Despite his high upside--poor man's Marcus Camby--Patton would an interesting use of resources with our first pick.

He was my top choice early on before Nurkic came along, but not sure waiting on a kid to be your back-up 5 makes a lot of sense at this point.

We just need 3 good picks in the 1st round so I'll have a good time in Vegas. That's it.

Was reading some SAC boards they seem to be interested in a pick swap that gave us some cap relief

What would you guys say to

    AC+Bazz or 26 + 15

    For

    Rudy Gay and no 10?

Gay is 30 has a 13m player option for next year and is coming off and Achilles (yikes, I know) but could be a really nice compliment to ET in the second unit. Probably wouldnt be 100% until playoff time but he is a very capable scorer and would be motivated to show he is worth a lucrative deal under the new TV contract. We give up a young and improving (lol) backcourt under contract and move into position to draft the forward we want out of the projected mid rounders.

    Thoughts?
