when one puts the timeline into perspective, Thor definitely does not know his body best, or at all....dumb move by noah- Syndergaard was scratched from a start Thursday with biceps and shoulder discomfort. He had been scheduled for an MRI on Friday but declined to have one after throwing a bullpen session. "I think I know my body best," Syndergaard told reporters. "I'm pretty in tune with my body, and that's exactly why I refused to take the MRI." Thor left his start against the Nats in the bottom of the second inning Sunday, grabbing his right side after throwing a pitch-
Heard Cone say he (Syndergaard) is a good pitcher, but a poor doctor. Syndergaard is an employee, the Mets are his employer, if they direct him to seek medical attention he should comply.
Now he's on the DL with a partial lat tear. That's an injury that will likely cost him months. The early thought is a three month recovery time. The fool refuses an MRI and then even bigger fools send him out to start a game. You don't want to take an MRI? Fine but you're not making your next start or two either. Now it's see you in the August.
...it will likely cost the Mets at least a dozen starts by Thor and quite a few wins by the Mets...they're screwed.
After how they handled Harvey it's amazing this could be happening again. On Noah's part it likely wasn't a good idea to get all jacked up during the off season either. Not shocking now he's dealing with a muscle tear.
