Arenas was really hot earlier this season, and he has somewhat cooled off the last month or so. He isnt doing terrible, but I do have to admit with this thread in the sense that he is a chucker. He shoots WAY too many threes, and I just hate it. I just dont like the style of game. He is one of the better chuckers in the league, I just dont like it. Its nothing against him personally, I just dont like that style of game period. Going down the court, and shooting a 3 if it is half way open. Its terrible basketball, and its stupid as well.
Arenas is selfish man. He puts himself before the team. It's amazing to me that some people still think Kobe is the most selfish man in the game. Arenas said he would score 50? What? Who goes out and says something like that, your putting your own agenda before your team.

He's averaging 8 three-point attempts per game, and converting on only 3 of them... he's attempted the most three-point field goals in the league this season with 444... and that is 30 more than the next closest player (Mike Miller) even though he's played in three less games than Miller has.He is still fairly young, so he can still improve. If he just chose his shots better he would be even deadlier. Stop shooting so many three's, attack more, get more high percentage shots for yourself and your teammates, and that just helps them out even more... too bad he doesn't seem to realize that.
He's always been shooting a lot of shots this season, but he's juss cold recently because Antawn Jamison has missed the last 11 games, and his presence alone spreads out the defense and allows Arenas to take his man 1 on 1, and not have to deal with a double team because there isn't a another shooter like Jamison to worry about. Even with Caron, teams have been able to focus on double teaming Arenas and he'll dish out the ball, but other guys aren't making it as much either.
Maybe he is turning into a D Wade FlopStar :shok: He is averaging near 14 FTA in his last 5 games. His FG is horrible , he is 22 of 67 his last three games. But I still think he lacks a certain leadership. I mean Ray Allen shoots alot but he knows how to lead his team, I think Gilbert lacks that,and he has no real playoff experience eithier.

Yes, he is a chucker. Yes, he does take too many 3's. Yes, he does take too many jumpshots and wild shots at rim.Despite all of this, when he gets hot, no one says anything. It is a risk and reward thing that the Wizards seem to be fine with. And in the Wizards offense, which is NO ball movement and ALL isolation, it really isn't a problem.

Lol at people saying that Arenas is a chucker. THe same fans who say Iverson and Kobe aren't. I'll be sure to mention the next game Kobe or AI hog it. They are all streak shooters so you go through great times and horrible times with that type of game.
Have you EVER seen Iverson or Kobe go 0-8 or 0-9 from three point land within a span of 5 games? As a matter of fact, have you ever seen either of those guys attempt that many threes without making at least one of them? Iverson goes to the basket too much to be a chucker, and Kobe is not a chucker because he doesn't take the dumb shots that Arenas does. You rarley see Kobe pull up on a fastbreak, or when he has numbers, and just pull up and shoot a 3. Gilbert is the defenition of a chucker....

Hes really cocky, and he chucks up shots right and left.. lately hes been what? 1-9 from three like every night.. shooting that many threes your bound to get on a streak and hit afew. I would like to hear his stats for the past month or two. Probably shooting 30% for FG% and threes. I dont know anybody that keeps shooting threes after being 0-6I notice alot of new arenas fans in the past year too.. Front running anyone?
