If Tanaka does not get a win tonight, then I really know Toronto is cheating! LOL

Jesus Christ, just saw an ESPN article by Marchand stating that the Yankees have put Bird on the 10 Day DL for a bruised ankle. Really pulling for this kid but at this point he's beginning to remind me of tex. When his stint is through they need to send him out to fix whatever his problem is. The current Yankee Solution to First Base is no solution either., hope Tyler Austin gets back soon.

...I'm guessing that Carter and Holliday will split time at 1B.

...hope this time off helps Bird get out of his funk.

Jacoby "I'm made of glass" Ellsbury going for a MRI on his Elbow and will possibly be put on the 10 day DL.

Bird's ankle likely a deep bone bruise that has never healed correctly. Hopefully some more time off takes care of it. Austin is not expected back until June so they will have to suck it up. Honestly, up until this point Bird has done nothing so anything out of that position will be an upgrade.

Did not know that Austin was going to be gone that long, I originally heard 6 weeks. Bird has not done well but I'm not really warm and fuzzy about Carter either. Ellsbury to the DL, shit why am I not surprised.

Trying to follow this on gamesact but it locked up. Went to Yahoo Sports looks like Gregorius failed with the bases juiced. Drought continues.

...it was actually a DP with some questionable baserunning by Headley getting thrown out at home.

Ah my boy Headley. Gamecast still very flaky just like ESPN, Yahoo Sports is not much better but at least I got Hicks & Gardners homers. Hicks has improved with the bat enough to gain some serious playing time in left or center.

...unlike last year Judge has learned not to try to pull the outside pitch...now with a flick of the wrist he goes the other way and sneaks it over the wall in RF.

...yeah, the Yanx really should have scored at least 3 runs that inning instead of only 1...but they're making up for it now with the long ball.

...and now a great defensive play by Judge to rob Joey Bats of extra bases.

I remember watching him late last year thinking when that guy gets decent at contact he's going to hurt some people. I've liked Judge since I first got a look at him during ST '15

That wasn't on headley but the runner on 2nd who got caught in a rundown and as about to be tagged out when headily took a chance and broke from home. I think bird is alright but his mechanics are all fucked up and hell go to tampa and work with dembo till he's straightened out.

Bird will be OK. Not overly concerned. Comparing him to Tex is very premature......this is the guy's first year.
