The Boston Celtics announce that forward Wally Szczerbiak is scheduled to undergo season ending ankle surgery on Thursday March 8, 2007. The procedure will be performed by Team Physician Dr. Brian McKeon at New England Baptist Hospital. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/449...ending_surgery/

You gotta feel for Wally. The guy has been a walking injury since he's come to Boston. He had the knee surgery this past summer and he has sprained his ankles probably 5 or 6 times this season. I hope he can come back healthy. Get well soon, Wally!

I was just about to post this. Too bad for Wally. He's really gotta be hurting though he looked like sh*t out there night in and night out. Hopefully he can come back better than ever next year. Good luck Wally!

I really dont like Wally at all. He has done nothing except get injured since he has been in a Boston uniform, and I dont see him getting any healthier. How many times has he twisted an ankle causing him to miss time? And now he has to have surgery on it? Ive had enough of the guy. I would trade him for sh*t at this point. At least our young guns would get more playing time.

We've all been frustrated with Wally's injuries and inconsistency, but come on man. You're making it like it's Wally's fault. It's not his fault he has glass ankles.

Wally LaFrentz is having another surgery....suprise suprise....I like Wally, he seems like he's a great guy, he brings energy and comrodaray with a team, but, he's finished. He's never had a great game but one thing he could always do was shoot. With his leg/ankle injuries he can't even do that anymore. He's useless as far as I'm concerned and that's why I called him Wally LaFrentz. Because that's what he is.
