Considering that period we are in good shape tied 3-3. Got to be aggressive coming out and get that 4th and then 5th goal to put ottawa out of their misery.

Well it's 0-0 going into the third. Have to get that "first" goal which could very well be the game winner.

Outside the first 5 min of the 1st period the Rangers have not played well at all.

Fortunate to be tied up. I really thought they would test Anderson more. They started to last part of the 2nd just throwing pucks on net. Keep doing that. Hank has let in at least 1 soft one today but Anderson is a mess.

If they win the 3rd period and win this game I really do think they win G6. Finish this

Just have to play smart, keep throwing pucks on net and crashing the net. It's that simple.

I don't get it why they keep praising Neil. The guy should be out of the league by now. He has nothing to do with the rangers team stupidity.

I thought they started to play well again the last 8 or 9 minutes of the 2nd period. But from 5 minutes into the game until that point in the 2nd, Ottawa controlled the play better than they have all series.

    Big period here fellas.

They got away from what was working. They stopped shooting and started over passing. That's why we were outshot 10-15 in the first period and why we are still outshot. We stopped that crap in games 3-4 when we just threw everything at net and got goals. Once we started doing it again, the ice tilted back in our favor and we regained momentum. Just have to keep doing that. Throw everything at the net and crash it to get the rebounds that will inevitably be there.

A veteran playoff team like the rangers should be able to persevere here and muck out a victory.

That play there is why Staal needs to be gone next year. He really sucks at all aspects of the game these days.

If they don't play sloppy they're good. If they're going to whiff on pucks at the point or just lose pucks in front without getting shots or getting it deep they will be in trouble.

Staal also skates like he's in concrete. But it's that type of unforced error nonsense that causes you to lose tight games like this.

And his d partner does as well. At least with Girardi if he makes a mistake McD is there same with Smith and Skjei. There's no backup for Staal or Holden as neither can skate well.

That's the stuff they need to stop. Throwing the puck out in front to nobody except Ottawa and they transition the other way with numbers.
