So I'm starting a business, and part of the process involves a lot of paperwork from the city of Portland (not just the normal stuff), and other regulatory agencies. If you call these institutions, you will be put on hold, never speak to a person, and eventually a machine will tell you that you will receive a call within 48 hours (the call never comes). So yesterday I'm looking at one of their websites in frustration, and I see something that I hadn't noticed before. There was a call line for people that didn't speak English. So I called it. Instantly a person picked up, and my question was answered. Every single time I call a company from now on, I'm going to call their non English speaking line. God I fucking love white privilege.
Did you speak with an accent? What kind of business? I had two in my life (an Ice Cream store and a franchise home inspection company). Depending on the product or service, it is way easier working for someone else.
I didn't fake an accent, but I probably sounded a little confused when the person answered the phone. It's recreational marijuana.
Yeah i remember trying to get my drivers license in Tualatin when i was 16. It was quite a task to prove i was a citizen. Multiple forms of ID, proof of residence etc. Meanwhile illegal aliens are escorted to the front of the line and granted driving priveledges with little to no documentation. Also given the tests in their native language while my dyslexic sister was refused any sort of clarification on poorly worded questions because, you know, thats cheating.
I think this means don't take your drivers test in tualatin. SS, and proof of residence was all I needed.

Don't worry. I don't even know who I am. Trump rolled back some regulations for businesses when he first took office, and the Left was up in a tissy about it. I was just being sarcastic about it.
