Astros may score a record opponent runs at the Stadium.BTW, what is the present record?

    Answer: Cleveland Indians.....August 31, 2004........22 runs.
And to throw more salt into the wound on that day, those Yankees were shut out!

Actually I would put Tanaka in the Bullpen and call up one of the kids. My Husband said "you think too much, maybe you should be the Manager".

I remember that game, a guy I worked with hated the Yankees and he spent the rest of the season bringing it up. Even worse when the Yanks pissed away the 3-0 game lead in the ALCS and lost to Boston. The 2004 season was a bad one for Yankee Fans.

This four game series total line score:

    Astros scored. 24 Runs. 39Hits. 7Errors. 6 HRS. 35Ks

    Yankees scored. 22Runs 35Hits. 3Errors. 4 HRs. 54Ks

Yet, the Good guys lost 3 of the 4 game series. It all came down to pitching.

Tanaka & Sevey really shit the bed today. Looks like consistency will be a rotation problem. The long and bullpen guys will have to step up their game. Chapman flaked his last two games, now on the DL and I get nervous when Betances comes in. Offense scored 18 runs in two games only won one.

    ^^^^

same here, Betances has an opportunity to prove naysayers wrong, and he makes me nervous as well, but then so does Chapman....

this game could of easily turned around for the Yanx, had Tank secured the day,
had Gardner, Holliday and Hicks of had a hit last at bat,
tying run at the plate in t/bottom of the 9th....

Not surprised Bregman and Springer went deep, both overdue for t/long ball.....

I said in 014 on the board, "look for Houston to run the tables, and appear in a World Series in 017, and win it all by 018"....these kids are top prospect draft picks, who played A+ Minor League ball here in Lancaster, Ca; (when the Stro's stunk to high heavens)-

    Correa #1 pick of 012
    Bregman #1 pick of 015
    Springer 11th pick of 011, 1st round
    McCullers 41st pick, 1st round 011
    V. Velasquez 2nd round pick 2010; traded to Philly for Giles
    M. Appel
1st pick of the 013 draft, 1 Mil signing bonus flop- (rotator cuff surgery, never returned the same) traded to Philly w/Velasquez for Giles, and Arrauz (suspended for Meth use)...

ntm- the Ryan's have a track record of success, kinda sorta...
    fk the stro's

'Stros are running away with their division and will be dominant for next 6 to 10 years. Yup, another team to rag on!
