^Do you actually have any opinion on that?I mean, besides TD's 3 rings, and the fact that Dirk looks like he can actually win a title, and has made Dallas competitive over the last 8 years while KG hasn't, doesn't mean anything to you? That's like saying Shawn Marion is the best SF in the game just because of his unique and unsurpassed talent...Shure you could say KG has more talent...but both Dirk and KG have done more, and while KG is better defensively than Dirk, Dirk surpasses him on offense, making it at worse, a tie for 2nd best PF behind TD at this point.

No man. KG is the better all around player because he has talent to play the 1,2,3,4 and 5

^Really? He can pass, sure, he can shoot, rebound and defend...but I'm not sure he could play every position.I could really say that guys like Dirk could do the same thing, but I won't.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (KobeBryant_24 @ Mar 4 2007, 05:47 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>KG better rebounder, and more intimidating.</div> My lord, you might be BBW's most ignorant basketball fan. You make a big point and you have almost nothing to back it up. KG is not a better rebounder. They are pretty much equal. They both get 13 or so rebounds when they play 40 minutes. Garnett is getting more rebounds now because he's playing almost 6 more minutes a game than Duncan. More intimidating? Not really. Just because KG shows emotion? Throw intimidation out of the window, both are a pain in the ass to play against because they are such good defenders. I think Tim Duncan's a better player because he comes up big when the Spurs need him. Hits clutch shots, and takes his man out of the game. Who cares if Tim Duncan doesn't have KG's perimeter game, Duncan is a 7'0" 260 pound lunker who doesn't need to play the perimeter....Duncan's just as good a passer as KG is, unlike KG, Duncan has a great back to the basket game...both have a good mid-range shot. When it comes down to it I'd rather have the bigger, smarter guy with the back to the basket game in Duncan. KG is a very good player, but as much as he loves to talk about winning, he doesn't come up big when his team needs him.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ASUFan22 @ Mar 4 2007, 02:17 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Any examples because I just don't believe that...Dirk has won just as much as KG, I'd still put KG ahead for now. I think KG is the best power forward of the 3 at the moment, but Duncan is right there, has been better all time and yes I think he has been the best player of the last 5 years.</div>For that I remember games last year, where he would go up the final 6 minutes of a game sometimes without shooting, and those were in close games. If your a winner, and you want people to think your a winner, those are minutes you shoot the ball. You don't get pass off the ball, and fail to take shots. Kobe, Duncan, Wade, and most of the stars of the league would be demanding the ball in those minutes and taking over the games. That is why I do not see him as a winner, and do not see Garnett ever winning a title as the go to guy on a team. He might be for the first three quarters, but the final quarter he showed many times last year why he is not a go to guy down the stretch. As for best player over the last five years, I think Tim Duncan has to be the clear cut favorite, with Shaq right on his heels. I know team success, should not be used to measure best players, but they go hand in hand. A successfull player, a dominating player is going to be on a good team, because he is going to make them better. Tim Duncan is a lock-in for about 20 points and 10 rebounds every night, as well as he is going to play solid man to man defense, and control the paint. He can go out to the free throw line and they can run the high post game with him, where he gets it there and can hit the shot or iniate the offense because he is a decent passing big man. He has easily in my opinion, been the best player of the last five years totaled.

I don't think Tim Duncan is a better player then Kevin Garnett at all. I truley believe if you switch places with those two the Spurs would of won more titles in that time frame.

Garnett is a good defensive player, but I do not believe you could anchor a defense around him the same way you can Duncan. Duncan is more powerful, and a more dominant force in the middle than Garnett is. That adds alot to the game, that can't be measured in stats. That is why I think that if Garnett was on the Spurs, they would have maybe won one title at the most.
