The first one I bought broke but they sent me a new one. Pretty good, especially for cooking rice and beans and shit like that.

When I lived in Portland that was where I went at least. These days, Gene's Meat Market up in the Santiam Canyon is the best spot near me. They sell a 6' long pepperoni stick, which is ironically similar to my wiener size.....

I think you have to buy more than you need at Costco. We have a major super called Shop Rite (aka Wakefern Corporation). They produce good products. They are the largest employer in NJ and adjoined States with over 35,000 people in their ranks.

Lmao..... ANYWAYS, yeah, Gene's is good. The other option around here is Gillespie's Meat Shoppe on Silverton Road. GREAT
stuff, and decent prices. Almost as good as the price I gave that chick last night, for my meat....

But it's the perfect place for EL Ps situation as the quality is good, and the price is good per pound. If he wants to vacuum seal then Costco is a great choice.

    Oh yeah, for sure!

I missed the obvious one (for us). We have used Swann's for a few years now. Guys (and gals), don't scoff at it, if you haven't tried them. ALL of their meat and poultry products are TOP quality. Honestly, the price isn't that much more, especially when you consider it's delivered to your couch. There are even coupon codes out there to save 50% off your first order. TRY THEM! The quality of everything will shock you....

And no, I don't work for them, or any friend/family member. The shit is really just that good....

Butcher Boys in Vancouver isn't bad, when I visit my dad I usually pick up a couple of their chicken cordon bleu's and t-bones.

    Headed off topic.....
I normally pan sear a steak, and then toss it on the BBQ, to cook on low for a long time. They come out awesome. I had never heard about that "Sous Vide" before. Googled it, and it looks interesting. SO, do you actually cook it all the way like that? It seems like you wouldn't get the same flavor, as in a BBQ. Just curious....

You finish it with a seat in a pan. Some people use torches too. Otherwise the meat is grey on the outside.
