What's your evidence that people are going to make smarter choices after this? Seems like the people who elected Trump are mighty proud of it. barfo
Well it should serve as a wake up call but it wont. People don't think anymore, it's all emotion based. SO maybe it wont work in the PC culture we now live in. I don't have faith in humanity these days. I mean, I meet good people but they are few, too many people with twisted ways of thinking out there. The culture we now live in is very narcissist, social media, getting likes and showing people a fake version of yourself to be accepted. Nobody really thinks for them self or are their own person. Too many of the same opinions I see with no real evidence behind it or facts. They just hear it somewhere and say it as truth. I think that's more of the youth of today though, I think they are screwed. Same thing with a lot of college kids. Older people can be hit or miss. Either hardcore republican or democrat or they just make sense. I think the truth lies within the middle. I don't know, I am rambling I just hope people can make a better decision next time. Trump supporters are lame and hillary supporters are lame, I tend to agree with people more in the middle of it all not really associated with a side that objectively look at shit. I shouldn't say all are lame though because there are genuine good people on both sides but once again, very few
So we need a king? Or we need to elect only who the media says we can? Or let the DNC choose? Do tell.
He suggests the people aren't capable of making smart choices. I ask what the alternatives to the people making their choice are.
You know who's most anti-democratic? The people who keep trying to suppress the vote with bogus voter ID, closing the polls early, keeping polling day on a Tuesday, not allowing universal vote-by-mail, etc. And guess what party is 100% behind that? Trump didn't actually do particularly well with voters in MI, WI and PA - it's just that the African American vote in particular was suppressed. It's an effective strategy, as even Trump realizes, hence his super-DUPER bogus "Voter Fraud Commission"
It sure is. "What's your evidence that people are going to make smarter choices after this? " Suggests people can't be trusted to make choices because their choices aren't "smart" enough.
Can't fool these people. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/storie...ME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2017-05-18-12-28-12
Did you even read the story you linked? It appears you can fool these people. "A few blocks away, die-hard Trump supporter Joseph Amodeo, 19, incorrectly praised the president for raising New York's minimum wage, something enacted by Democrats in the Legislature."
My reading is fine. "What's your evidence that people are going to make smarter choices after this? " You suggest there's no evidence are going to make smarter choices and that they haven't made smart choices.
No. I asked for his evidence that people were going to make smarter choices. That was a question, not a statement. My statement was that Trump voters seemed mighty proud of their choice. Luckily, they are the minority of voters, not the majority. barfo
He won. Seems it would be better for your kind to raise money, get out the vote, and run someone with a good record and dignity this time. If you can find such a person
If he's the better of the two choices, sure. Like Obama beat the same awful person/candidate that Trump did.
