Yes, we got money so we could sign Diaw and Barbosa back, and we're saving money for this year where we should get a top 5 pick from ATL (hopefully not top 3, then its protected).
Yeah im happy with what my Raps did in this years draft. First we picked up the Magician "Il Mago" and if anyone has watched any of his games in the last 3 months you know why we call him the Magican. Also we grabbed PJ Tucker who I love watching play cause he just plays hard and seems to get things done on the court when our team is struggling, I really want to see him get more minutes and be part of this franchise in the future....JYD version 2.0
No, we could've had Marcus Williams or Rondo, but I understand why they weren't kept/drafted under the situation. AKA: Brian Grant ruined the Suns' chance at a pair of potentially good PGs
I think Adam Morrison was a solid pick for the Bobcats, as we needed a pure scorer and Morrison looks like he will be that person once he gets his shot down. We are already seeing him start to get his shot better lately, and he is feeling more confident with it. I think by next year his scoring touch will be alot better, and we will be set there. He has the moves and gets open shots on a consistent basis because of his basketball smarts, and ability, it's just a matter of when those shots start falling.
Definately, everyone overlooks Rajon Rondo. He has a point guard mentality, he is as quick as they come, defensively he is unbelievable, he's averaging 1.5 steals in under 20 minutes a game. He rebounds, distributes the ball well, is improving with each game, and he's had some 8,9 assist games with limited minutes. The only knock on him is his scoring, he has no shot what so ever, but he can definately work on that and make improvements. Also he is a point guard and nobody is really looking at him to be a scorer anyway. I agree with CB32, he is our best point guard right now. Also a lot of the Boston Media thinks he can't be a starting point guard. They see him "coming off the bench with energy" or some crap like that. I don't know where the hell they come up with that but I think a few years down the road Rondo will be an outstanding point guard in this league.

That was a terrible pick. I mean, do they really think Morrison's going to be any good? In 5 years I wouldn't be surprised if he struggled to find a contract. I mean, Brandon Roy was such an OBVIOUSLY better player than Morrison, and most people were talking him for ROY even before the draft, so why take the guy with the ugliest hair face and stache in the nba?

Hell, I haven't seen you make one competent remark period. On to your post though, I doubt you have seen Morrison play past probably three times, considering he has only been on national TV once so far. Which by the way, that one time he played outstanding basketball for us against the Magic. On to topic though, I don't see how the Bobcats could have made a better choice than Morrison. They needed a scorer, someone that can put the ball in the basket, and there was not a better pure scorer in this years draft than Adam Morrison. Sure Brandon Roy might be a better all around basketball player, but he is not a better pure scorer than Morrison is. In five years, Morrison will still be in the league and still be playing basketball at a good level, contributing to whatever team he is on with his ability to put the ball in the basket.

We drafted Leon Powe when Guillermo Diaz was still on the board. Diaz's shooting ability is exactly what we needed, we still need shooting actually. The worst part about the draft is that we didn't even keep Powe at all, we traded him away shortly after making the pick. I still get upset when I think about the draft, Diaz would have been perfect for us.
Sorta, sorta not. I knew picking Ager would be a risk. He never really interested me as good NBA player. Very slumpy player. Like Rok said Millsap or Gibson would have been much better options
Wow, if Morrison's a better scorer than Roy, why's he scoring 2.5 PPG less than Roy? You're not making sense. If I'm a GM and I'm looking for a player that can score, I'm going to look also for the guy to help build a future with. Morrison's nothing but a role player, Roy is a probably small-name star in the future. Morrison may help them this year(and still not as much as Roy would've), but he'll become more and more obsolete as they get studs like Oden or whoever from the drafts, and then this pick will prove to be a weak one. Teams aren't going to want Morrison if there are more capable players that can not only score as well, but defend as well as the other things.

Guillermo Diaz is a great athlete and can get hot shooting, but he's just not a good 'basketball player' in general. Plays out of control, makes stupid mistakes, shoots too much outside...had a lot of problems learning english...etc..He's done great in Europe...but so does almost every American/college player that goes over there.
Yes The nets did have a great draftMarcus Williams, Josh Boone, Adams all soild players.Marcus has played well, Boone is starting to play very well ( Last Night's game showed what he can do) and Adams gives engery and is always running on high.

Case amd point is that Mcgrady is a top 5 scorer in this league, probably top 3 scorers in this league and he averages alot less than other people. Furthermore, rookie years mean nothing, just because one averages more than another their rookie yeat proves nothing. The fact is, Morrison is the most well rounded scorer in this draft. He can create off the dribble, shoot from the outside, come around screens to shoot, move without the ball and run people off offball screens. He can do it all when it comes to scoring, he is a smart scorer and that is what will make him valuable in the future for any team he is on.
But not in the playoffs. In the playoffs, you gotta have at least some defense. He's not anywhere near as valuable and useful as Roy.
I believe the Lakers made the right pick. They addressed their need for a pure point guard by drafting Farmar (a steal IMO) who is a floor general and can just has a great understanding of the game. He can see things before they happen which is huge for a point guard. Don't be surprised if Jordan Farmar is starting point guard next year unless someone more established comes along.
I dont know if Farmar was a steal because I dont think hes ever going to be a "star" or whatever, but he was probably the best pick LA could make. Hes going to very a very good player for LA.

This league is more focused around scoring, than defense, so scoring is going to win you games. For the Bobcats he is just as useful as Roy, considering we have defense, what the Bobcats needed was someone that can put the ball into the hoop. In this draft, Morrison was the best scorer, so that is what we went with.

Morrison however does not. Most well rounded scorer? Are you kidding me? Do you know his FG% is in the bottom of the top 20 rookies in the NBA? Same with his 3 point percentage. His free throw percentage is also horrible. He chucks 13 shots a game. and scores only around 5. The only reason he scores anywhere close to 10 because he is one of the only offensive options on his team. If this wasnt an expansion team, he would be sitting on the bench all day watching his minutes dip.

He was in college, and he was here. Not everyone has a good rookie season, but come out and do good the rest of their careers. As far as moves, and who has the most scoring moves, no one in this draft has as many scoring moves as Morrison. That's why Michael Jordan picked Adam Morrison, because he is the scorer of this draft.
