I've tried to be open minded to see the Muslim religion as not inherently evil, but that there are those who seek to abuse and distort it to commit evil acts. I am not so certain now.
I've never believed Islam to be anything other than a violent cult. When Muslims are ready to reform Islam into a peaceful religion, then I'll call it a religion. Until then, I will continue to refer to it as a cult.
I see it a bit different. I see those of the Muslim faith that want to bring about a reformation of the religion, to remove the guidance to abuse and exclude other peoples. We need to help them do so, now. Otherwise the war will be long, very long, very nasty.
Not meant to be a joke, but I wonder if Ariana Grande will change her tour name after this. It's called the Dangerous Woman tour....
I have never understood how some of the biggest critics of Christianity are also some of the biggest defenders of Islam. Explain that shit to me.
And vice versa. Every religion can be interpreted in a number of ways. Individuals commit actions because of their view of a religion, not because of religion. The term "Defend your faith from non-believers" can be taken as "defend yourself from those attacking you because of your faith" and could be taken as "attack those who don't believe". Theres some Muslims that have ideologies that are more in common with Christians than radical members of their same faith. That's why criticizing or defending religion because of a small faction doesn't make sense to me. That's just my opinion.
Just like every Christian doesn't use a sniper rifle to take out abortion doctors in front of their families, or plant bombs at clinics killing random people. But, there are those that do.
What percentage of them do you think follow the teaching of the Hadiths about homosexuals? What percentage of them do you think at least in part interact with other people as the Koran guides them, say in regard to Infidels or Kaffers?
Link to a map showing pirate activity in the world to day. https://icc-ccs.org/piracy-reporting-centre/live-piracy-map If you check you will find all of them with the possible exception of Peru, are Muslims. One of their sources of revenue is taking Infidel or Kaffers to hold for ransom. I guess they find it ok in the Koran, in any case they have been doing it for centuries.
