I wasn't born here so that kind of kills the "if I were president" line of thought.

I would never ever want to be in politics, on any level. I hate office politics with a passion.

I would like to be part of a well funded think tank. I believe we need to spend more to research and find the answers to some very serious national problems. Let’s get to the core of the problems.

We need to find better ways to find and help the mentally ill.
Our prison system does not work.
Our impressionable youth are very misguided by miss-information campaigns from special interest groups.
We need to hold the people/special interest groups that are spreading miss-information accountable.
We have too many one parent families.

One thought that comes to mind is, our country does not have good programs to develop entry level leadership skills. It is no wonder our top political leaders are so inept. When I look into the past and at what really works to develop character and values, it is leadership development programs that are available to everyone within a group or organization. How to expand those programs to a national level is the question. And maybe the answer to some of our problems.

    > Denny. 1) No one could stop the NSA spy programs and hidden CIA surveillance protocols. It is possible that directors of these agencies are not in charge of all missions or have knowledge of subversive tactics within their own ranks. 2)Drone surveillance and warfare will escalate with innocent people wasted along with the targeted ones. 3)Eliminate a few air craft carriers, jet fighter budgets and submarines, overcharging sub contractors (ei: A $972.00 vice grip) along with foreign aid and farm subsides where free health care would be possible for a year. Unfortunately, our two party system is not rationale and everything either one of us proposes could never be totally agreed upon. No bill is ever intact in it's original form. It reminds me of the Sprint commercial featuring Firemen that acted like Congress and passed sensible laws in minutes rather than the lethargic process these two parties wallow in. We absolutely need more than two parties coupled into a popular rather than electorate college system. 4)If your Mexican concept needs any stimulation, I propose a corridor of factories where Mexican and poor Americans can work for equivalent Chinese wages, no sales taxes or tariffs, open borders, free medical and lower product costs through trucking rather than freighter shipping. All diesel fuel intended for commercial usage would be always less than 87 octane. In essence, we should create a factory economy like the Chinese had copied from European and American industrialists. 5) I also would endorse Muslim nation military unity. However, Their fight is hardly ever featured on the news sources. Ironically, our interference in an Arab country has caused this catastrophe. 6) The Industrial/Military complex was recognized by Eisenhower and nothing will change after 72 years. Weapons production and sales are huge assets that will never end despite bans.

Your duties as director are to sample each product for standard uniformity and good quality.

I think the closest thing is the Bureau of Alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives. Though interestingly enough they don't take care of weed.
