Sense8 is joining Firefly on TV's scrap heap of ambitious but short-lived cult series. Netflix confirmed Thursday that it's canceled the sci-fi drama from Lana and Lilly Wachowski (The Matrix) about emotionally interconnected strangers from all over the world. The move comes a month after the premiere of its well-reviewed second season. https://www.usatoday.com/story/life...-fi-drama-sense8-after-two-seasons/102393790/
Nooooooooooo! That was a gorgeously filmed show. Just amazing to watch. But more importantly I have never seen editing used like that to advance the story. A truly revolutionary show.
It probably had boobs in it, which is why you liked it. Every show you recommend to me is soft core porn with potential lesbian scenes, you dirty dog.
I tried, but couldn't get into it. It's a good guess it cost a lot to produce and had an audience too small to justify the expense. I did like Marco Polo, which was a real breakthrough (first UHD+HDR content on Netflix) as well as colorful scenery and costume. That was cancelled, too.
Bloodlines was also canceled. I had to "nope" out of that show a few times each season. Got too intense to binge watch.
I couldn't watch Sense8. I gave it a try, but I really dislike the Wachowski's general artistic aesthetic and editing. It is highly stylized and makes me feel like I'm living in the 90's. I just can't dig it.
Loved the first season. They shouldn't have killed him so soon. Knew they would the whole time so why do it?
Because that is the catalyst for the family members individually melting down. The 2nd season was really good too and I'm only 1 episode into the 3rd and final season.
2nd Season started slow and I never finished it. Quit when that douche Kevin really started losing his shit. I just think they could have saved it. Like.... spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't seen Game of Thrones....they took their sweet time killing Joffrey. It was so worth it to wait.
Shit I was enjoying it, and was hoping for more of a wrap up after season 2. Definitely salty about this...
