I see nothing that says the earth ever gets to that point. There is no historical or geological record of such an event, which seem logical to me.
Since nearly all the major rivers on earth feed the Northern hemisphere's currents and for this purpose, you can consider the Mediterranean Sea at Gibraltar, the larges River in the world.
Check the rivers relative to the Ocean currents. Even the Amazon and Congo feed the Northern currents The Ganges is the largest major of those that feed the Southern Oceans Agulhas Current.

So when the Northern river flows are reduced enough to alter the Northern current flows, I believe we toggle and the Northern Hemisphere begins a New Ice-age with the everything above say 48 degrees N going in the deep freeze and begins to ice over, while everything down to 40 degrees North is in the refrigerator. I sort of think, this will have a reset on climate condition and the activity of man. Agreements made in Paris, Tokyo, or Timbuktu are irrelevant.

    Ps.
In my view, more C02 quickens these events, the faster the Glacier go, the sooner we see a major climate change. China with it's current plan to dam every River in Asia and the larges producer of C02 may make it all happen sooner than projections of Glacier melt and thereby Pacific Current alteration.

It's funny as hell to see the Democrats come up with ways to Tax this cycling of our environment. Rather sad though to see the masses dancing to their pipe.

They gotta get it while they can

Our pollution is like a million people peeing into the river when it flooded in 96 or so. It will flood faster but it is still flooding. That ice age is coming again some day right?

It would be beneficial to have clean air while we are alive though.

Perhaps you should give tree hugging a go and save a little for later?

Here we have it pretty good, good say vs 1960. LA was almost uninhabitable, New York not far behind, especially in some allies.
Now China, by the photos I see, looks a lot like LA did back when it was terrible.
This agreement says China does some more of the shit while we need to stifle ourselves and pay billions for the privilege.
Damn man! That makes no friggin sense to me and I don't think it changes a figgin thing.

It is ridiculous that this issue is a political issue in my view. Can someone explain why it is a political issue? That might be worth understanding.

My environmental work for the day (a couple weeks actually).

About 2 cords of wood in the shed for winter, going for three. All dead trees salvaged to prevent a fire hazard.
Madrone, Cedar, Fir. See the small firs! Those are dead from the forest's natural selection pruning process.
So I take them down for fire wood rather than burn hated commercial carbon fossil fuels.
Did you know this wood will add the same volume of C02 to the environment if I let it rot or burn it?
Burning it just accelerates the process.

Where a dead tree leaves a void, it will be replaced with 2 to 4 small trees to suck up C02 and emit Oxygen.
    Oh yes! Tree hugger work.

A sound policy does not need two sides.

Two sides isn't working out all that well anyway. When the entire planet is on one side and the US, Syria and Nicaragua are on the other.
