Interesting indeed. If we managed to get a good small forward, we could get by with a young guard who will play 12-14 minutes per game.

Yeah, but there's a lot of guys that are merely practice shooters. His form is bad, but repeatable in practice. Seems like the type of shot to break down in games.

I completely disagree. The video I saw of him stroking 3s at the combine showed great form.

Leaf looks way too "natural" in blazers colors for me, I'm uncomfortable bro.

The key workout will be when Paul Allen shows up and watch the player.

Here's what I see: he has a low release point with a low follow through. Struggles to get much arc. Shooters with flat or high arc (Aminu) tend to struggle with shooting consistency, especially from 3. Turner could probably knock down those same shots that Bell was, but his flat shot makes it so he has to have pinpoint accuracy from the arc in game. Bell also shoots from the other side of his body, which brings a side-to-side variable into his shot. His right foot isn't underneath him either, which makes him less balanced.

I was just thinking, maybe we think we can trade Crabbe for a pick in the range #30 to #40 and replace him with a cheap rookie like Thornwell, Dorsey or Hart? A lot of 2nd round projections we have invited for workouts are shooting guards.

It'd be incredible if on top of moving up to get Zach Collins and getting Justin Jackson with our pick we got some potential rotational players to develop (Evans, Thornwell, Pasenciks) AND shed some salary.

Somehow I feel convinced we will take TJ Leaf though. Not sure if it will be at 20 or 15 but I got a feeling we will get him.

I don't want to pay to get rid of Crabbe, but in this draft a 30-40 pick is quite valuable. I wouldn't object.

If we got asset back in return it'd be incredible. While most people want us to get rid of picks to move contracts (like 3 picks to get rid of Leonard) and not have to go through pain of having 3 rookies, I want us to get more picks coming in. I feel like we could turn a lot of second rounders into cracking rotational pieces.

None of those guys are evan close to replacing Crabbe.

Crabbe's the 2nd best 3pt shooter in the league. Thornwell and Hart would struggle to shoot over 36%. Dorsey would be even more of a liability in other areas than Crabbe, while not being as good of a shooter.

It's not official until Blazers edge writrs the "Lillard to be traded, says Turner" article.

But I already got paid and drafting one of these guys will get me my $10 million trade kicker.

2nd in 3FG%, but tied for 46th in made 3FG. A lot of guys could shoot a higher percentage if all they did was shoot wide open, catch and shoot 3-pointers with their feet set and no defender in sight.
