What do you guys think the worst NBA city is?I think Atlanta is the worst NBA city, it may be the worst SPorts city, you just don't hear excitement from Atlanta teams.
lol yeah The braves are one of the most popular mlb teams and most televised around america through TBS.For NBA, I say Seattle, Nobody cares about basketball there.
Atlanta, New Orleans, Charlotte. Historicly they have all had low attendence and been poor supporters. Atlanta has a base of people, it's just that they have not had a good team in a long time.
Don't forget about Memphis. I remember when the Lakers came to town (usually sells out on away games) it was almost dead quiet. I was like wow...are they playing in a gym?
Memphis and NO. Memphis is always very quiet, and NO, even in the 2nd game back in NO arena, was very quiet with no emotion.I disagree with Atlanta. They get very excited when opposing stars come to town and are just waiting for their own team to start doing well. They have been crap for 10 years now.

I read an article recently that the new ownership bankrolled a huge Anti-Gay group, and that is what the Seattle people are having a problem with in terms of supporting that new ownership group...
Memphis fans do not like the franchise players, Pau Gasol. And especially after his recent comments. We are actually a good crowd, but the Tigers have more appeal. But when Rudy and Hak get more PT, people will go to the games more. Get some more exciting players and we will be good. But our team has always been boring, and when we're not boring, we're losing 40+games. The griz have only been here 6 yrs, it takes a while to get sell out fans.Jerry West knows it too, and thats why hes making the griz more athletic and exciting. AFter this offseason, we should be a playoff team again...we arent this bad. So itll get better for Memphis.

Even when teams like Phoenix come in, they still dont sell out.
New Orleans. I remember like 2 years ago, I was watching a Raptor game and I saw A BUNCH of seats empty. And that was like 2 quarters of the game, The Raptors were blowing them out in like the 3rd quarter and then I just saw more empty seats.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (grizz101 @ Mar 4 2007, 04:45 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Portland and Memphis</div>Portand used to have a great fan base....They always used to sell out their games. Its just the fact that the team is so bad now, that nobody really goes to the game. I think that if they could somehow produce a winning season next year, you would see their attendance sky rocket. Although, it might be like that with alot of teams. ha

Another reason to ship that team out of there, they have litte future and I also perceive them still dwelling in the bottom of the West next year. I just dont see Oden or Durant fixing this team.
Since most of you guys always mention Memphis and Portland and Seattle. Well every team used to have a good fan base until their team suck for years and then they start to give up. But once they start winning again, the fans will start going to the games. But look at Philadelphia even when they can see AI every night still not many people go to their games.
Philly fans are just idiots...no offense to the ones on the site but 95% are..they've run so many people out of the organizationI would have to say overall the Utah fans are bad...they're awesome and when I watched some of their games they barely drew a crowd..plus Utah is like the middle of nowhere and just full of mormons..
BostonThe Celtic fans chanted MVP for Kobe Bryant.Even with the history those two teams have for an entire crowd of them to chant MVP for him is just disgraceful.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>BostonThe Celtic fans chanted MVP for Kobe Bryant.Even with the history those two teams have for an entire crowd of them to chant MVP for him is just disgraceful.</div>That was more of a joke than anything. If your team is in the middle of an 18 game losing streak what do you expect? The Celtcs get great home game attendence no matter what the sitaution, people might do sh*t like that at that game but they will keep coming and coming and coming, they will never stop cheering for the Celtics. If your going to base your whole argument that Boston is a bad NBA city on one incident where they chanted MVP for Kobe, than you're mistaken and being completely ignorant.
