...yeah, I know it's early but how cool would it be for Judge to win ROY, MVP, and The Triple crown? (he's leading or in the running for HRs, RBIs, and BA.)

...the kid is a legit 5 tool player...he has no weaknesses.

The man is a franchise player, scary thing is that he'd only going to get better.

^^^yup...we knew there was potential thunder in his bat...but I was surprised to see what a very good defensive player he is with a lot of range and very good arm too...plus he has speed for a big man and runs the bases very well...also seems to be a very smart and Baseball savvy kind of player...and like Jeter, he does it the right way and always says the right things.

Even Butt Head Buster Olney made positive comments on Judges performance. However he did use the disclaimer "now that Trout is on the DL" And one can bet that if Judge does win in some of those categories it will get broad mention "well, he only got it because Trout was sidelined" I'll agree that Trout is a fine player but he's not a Yankee. Second f all I believe Judge can give Trout a good run for his money. Heard it mentioned that at 25 Judge was just up, Trout has a few years under his belt. Back in 1920 the Yankees acquired a 25 year old Pitcher named Babe Ruth. Prior to his arrival Ruth had hit 49 home runs. Look at what his Yankee accomplishments between his 25th and 34th years. Difference though is that Judge will no doubt stay in better shape than the Babe did. And with the arrival of Mr. Judge and a few others people are starting to fear the Yankees again because they suspect what is coming. Got in a discussion with a Cubs fan couple of Friday nights ago. Over heard him say "Yankees Suck" Reminded him that the Yankees swept the Cubs in their own Yard. His comment "the Yankees were lucky and bought all of their Championships." Judge will excel, but from interviews I've herd he knows the franchise and will put his Team First. I'm damn glad the Yankees have him because now we fans have a legit team player to cheer for.

    1. What, no love for Beavis?...:biglaugh:

    2. Many people assume that the Yanx will go after Harper, but personally, I'd much rather have Trout...just a better overall player, IMO. With Hicks improving so drastically, can you imagine an OF of Judge, Trout, and Hicks/Ellsbury?

    3. Generally, when someone spews "Yankees suck" it's because they have nothing tangible to contribute to the conversation.

3...That Cubs fan needs to remember that the Cubs had the 6th highest payroll last year and would not have have finally won another WS without spending all that money by acquiring all of of those big name FAs. The Cubs will also soon have to pony up to keep many of their young stars and if they don't start playing better the almighty Cubs may not even make the post season this year.

So when you get right down to it the Cubs' 2016 Title was "bought" and paid for too.

Final tally; "Bought" WS Titles; Yanx 27 Cubs 1

Keep hearing about Harper & Machado but I'd hope the Yankees pass on both. (Ego Freaks) Trout. level headed team player would be a fine introduction. I sure don't want the Yankees out there once again paying ego freaks huge salaries with me first poor production. They do need a 3rd Baseman to replace the one who's the current occupant. Like to see how GT will spark that infield, When the Yankees don't make the series I usually nod to the American League Club. Cleveland last year was a shocker and with the damage to their pitching staff got a lot further than I thought they would, Was happy to see them kick the Bostons to keep "Big Sloppi" out of one more playoff and for Franconas Revenge. The Red Sox Players shit all over Francona after the '11 Seasson, many of them were still aboard last year so tough shit. Too bad they blew the World Series lead and lost. I want to see the Yankees back in there but I still am concerned about the Yankee "Brass" We can only hope that all is well. Get those ticket prices down and let the real Yankee Fans back into a the ball park. It was well christened in '09, lets see some more.

^^^not crazy about Machado either...gotta believe that Gleyber Torres will get a shot at playing the infield full time eventually.

...yes, but the Yanx still need to figure out one way or another what their long term plans and commitments are at 1B, 2B, SS, and 3B.

...uhhh, Sandoval, I know it's cool tonight but why are you blowing on your LEFT hand (your glove hand) in order to warm it up when you are right handed?

...I just hope Bird is OK...still can't believe Cashman gave Headley that long of a deal...completely unnecessary.

...just saw where Judge is 1-3 odds on winning the MVP...also, if you combine the total distance of Judge's HRs this year, they measure over 1 1/2 miles.
