Billups would definitely help out Memphis, but I don't know if it would be enough for them to become a playoff contender.
Memphis hasnt changed much at all as a team from the 45+ win team we were a couple years ago. Memphis just got off to a horrible start with Gasol out, then when he came back that was difficult. The players didnt like the coach, so we had to bring in a new coach, and its impossible to simply switch from a grind-out team to a fast-paced team in one season, like memphis is attempting. Even without Billups or a high draft pick, memphis will be alot better, and probably a playoff team with the summer and an training camp to work on transition defense...which is the reason why we're losing so much.
