Since the Iverson trade this guy has been averaging 22/6/6 a game. I know the 76ers are terrible but this guy is looking more and more like an elite SG/SF. Nobody is talking about him.
Yep. As I said awhile back in a topic regarding him and Josh Smith, he really has the chance to be a superstar. He is a triple double waitijng to happen every night, every night his scoring gets better, and he is a great defender. With a few more years of experience he could turn out to be a top 10 player in the league.
thank you, hes got excellent court vision, which I tried telling people before the trade. He can get to the free thow line alot, penentrates alot. Hes going to have alotve allstar games in the future. Hes one of those 25-6-5 players...and hes a excellent defender. Glad to see somebody else noticing him.

I've been talking about him. He is playing amazing. I just finished reading the SLAM article on him. He's doing very well.
I always loved Igoudala except for the fact that he usually plays well vs. the Celtics. He's a quiet kid, and I like his work ethic. He really wants the Sixers to be good, and he's working hard and playing his ass off. Love AI2.
The thing is he is doing it all! He's had quite a few games where he's had 9, 10, 11 assists..He's always been a pretty good rebounder, and now he's the number one option in Philly.. In Feb and March he averaged 21 ppg, 7 rpg, and 8 apg.. If the Sixers can draft Wright, Horford, Oden, or Durant, than they'd have quite a duo...
I agree. He has pretty much tooken over and is doing a great job being the nuumber 1 option. He attacks the rim more agressively and most of all he isnt playing nervous now. When AI was back in Philly he played nervous sort of, didnt attack the rim that much, just kept on feeding it to Iverson. Credit goes to Andre Miller thoguh. He has been setting up Korver and Dalembert as well.
Thank you... finally my boy is getting some recognition. This dude is going to turn a lot of heads next year, in my opinion, and will be an All-Star possibly two to three years from now. He has improved quite a bit, and the Sixers aren't really THAT bad since the Iverson trade (15-19). We could probably contend for the 8th seed next season. He still has room for improvement though. His jumper has definitely improved, but he needs to finish more at the rim (aside from dunks). His defense is solid, but could still improve as well. Man... this really makes me wonder what could have been had we not traded Kenny Thomas, Corliss Williamson and Skinner for Webber, and allowed Iguodala to be the second option to Iverson. But oh well...
Well part of it is because the 76ers don't have any other respectable offensive 1st or 2nd options....But you've got to hand it to him. He is athletic freak, who is also good at defense and rebounding, and he has developed a jump shot.
I can now officially admit that I was wrong about Iguodala. That's right, I actually admit when I'm wrong about a player.
I agree, he was always getting held back because of all the touches Iverson and Webber got. He finally is the #1 option and he's producing. Now, I haven't seen a Sixers game in a while, but I hear that he isn't playing passively like before. That's good, this kid is a hell of a talent.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Ming637 @ Mar 4 2007, 06:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>..... </div>And you're the one to talk? You are the one that said ANDRAY BLATCHE will be the next Kevin Garnett. Now THAT, my friend, is something to roll your eyes and laugh about.
He wouldn't do as well with another great player on his team (ala Allen Iverson)If he was on a team like the lakers with Kobe he would get maybe like 12 a game

Iguodala is a stud.
Yeah I agree, I remember people talking about how Iggy had shown no improvements and this and that. I think it was because A.I. was taking the majority of the posessions in Philly. Iggy has been fantastic and he is doing a great job for the Sixers. Also I think he's not getting a lot of respect in the media because everyone was so concerned about where A.I. was going and where he would land that there was no emphasis on who would fill his shoes in Philly. Well, I think we have our answer, Iggy.

When AI and CWebb were in Philly, Iguodala kept on saying that he isn't aggressive on offense because Cheeks said that it isn't his job to put up points. His job was to play defense and do all the little things, and let Iverson and Webber put up the points. I'll admit that I was very skeptical with those comments since Iverson, Webber and Cheeks were publicly begging him to be more aggressive offensively, and I thought maybe he's just naturally passive on the offensive end, but boy was I wrong. Those guys put up 20-25 shots a night each... I think if Iguodala was the second option behind only one of those guys, he's put up slightly lower numbers than what he is putting up now, especially if he was still the facilitator of the offense. But as a third option behind two guys who need the ball in their hands to be effective, he's not going to get much done offensively. He's living up to the Pippen comparisons... slowly, but surely. We just need to find the right "Jordan" to put next to him.I honestly this guy would be the perfect fit in LA next to Kobe because he could play the facilitator role in the triangle very well, but I damn sure hope that doesn't happen. Looks like training with Kobe is actually paying off for Iggy.
Iggy's stat line from last night....25 points (10-21), 11 rebounds, 10 assists in 44 minutesHad a triple double, also had 6 turnovers but still Iggy is stepping it up HUGE lately. And it's not just individual performance, The Sixers won their 5ths game in a row last night and in that 5-game span Iggy is averaging some astonishing numbers. 23.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 2.4 steals, 52% shooting Good to see this for Sixers fans. I've always loved watching this kid play, I'm glad he stepping up.
