I saw this a while back on another forum. You just list your players, and compare then to other current players. doesn't matter if one is better than the other...but just from style and the way they play.Chucky Atkins-Derek Fisher Brian Cardinal-Scott Padgett(better D) Pau Gasol-Tim DuncanRudy Gay-Darius Miles(better shooter, bigger upside) Alexander Johnson-Jason MaxiellDahntay Jones-Deveon George(more athletic, not as good shooter) Tarence Kinsey-Tayshaun Prince Kyle Lowry-Jamal TinsleyMike Miller-Jamal Crawford(less athletic) Scott Padgett-Brian Cardinal(better shooter) Lawrence Roberts-Udonis Haslem(but bigger)Damon Stoudamire-Jameer NelsonStromile Swift-Tyrus Thomas Hakim Warrick-Robert Horry(younger version...minus the 3point range)
Like nykfan4life stated in the Nate Roinson topic.Nate Robinson-Allen IversonAndrew Bynum- Eddy CurryOn the andrew bynum one im a little shaky with. But both are similiar in a way IMO. Both are strong and have good size, gets into foul trouble often and are strong but play soft with hook shots jumpers, layups in the paint.
KObe Bryant is nothing like MJ in stlye of play. Bryant is more of a perimeter player, as MJ was a penetrator.

Jordan and Kobe both were clucth, hated or loved, had great perimter game, kobe is close to MJ's playmaking ability, both can attack the rim.

Jordan was a penetrator early in his career, but he developed that jumper and played alot like Bryant does now mixing it up and doing both driving and shooting. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Jammin @ Mar 5 2007, 01:20 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Amare Stoudemire --> Karl MaloneShawn Marion --> Shawn KempBoris Diaw --> Magic Johnson (obviously alot worse)Raja Bell --> Steve KerrSteve Nash --> John StocktonLeandro Barbosa --> Allen IversonJames Jones --> Reggie MillerKurt Thomas --> Dennis RodmanPat Burke --> Dirk Nowitzki (LMAO)</div>I think these are terrible comparisons you have made here dude. Amare plays nothing like Karl Malone used to. Malone never took people off the dribble, and blew by them the same way Amare does. Amare doesn't play your traditional big man type, back them down and then shoot, he turns faces and drives like that from the low post. I really don't see that comparison at all.Shawn Kemp and Shawn Marion are similar in name, but not in playing styles or anything basketball related. I'm not sure who you could compare Marion to, but I know him and Kemp are nothing alike. I would be more likely to put Amare being similar to the way Kemp was, rather than Marion. The only thing similar about Nash and Stockton, are that they are both great passers. Past that their playing styles are different, Stockton never shot the three ball the same way that Nash does, he never orchestrated such a high speed attack the same way Nash does. Stockton's teams for their time slowed the game down more, and attacked more in the half court, than Nash's team does. So I don't see them being similar either. I think if anyone in the league would be similar to the way Nash plays, it would be someone like Mike Bibby, who can shoot the three from the point guard spot, while also being able to hit the whole, and play at a fast pace speed. I could see similiarities between Bibby and Nash, with Bibby not doing what Nash is doing, rather than Stocton and Nash.
Ryan Gomes - Shane Battier Gerald Green - Tracy McGrady Kendrick Perkins - Kelvin Cato Rajon Rondo - Poor man's Jason Kidd Delonte West - Smarter and more consistent Mike James I don't know, these are tough, but I think I nailed a couple of them.

I think you meen poor mans t-mac
Jamaal Tinsley - Rafer Alston (he was the worst pg I could think of)Mike Dunleavy - Mike Miller (of course Miller shoots better, but still)Danny Granger - Shane Batier (someday he will be more like T-Mac)Jermaine O'neal - Tim Duncan (the post moves and the shot blocking, buddy)Troy Murphy - Dirk Nowitzki (of course Dirk is much better)Ike Diogu - Andrew Bynum (young guns who use their strength in the post)Shawne Williams - Josh Smith (athletic shot blocker and rebounder who can score some)

Gerald Green has been compared to Tracy McGrady for 3 years. He has the same skill set, same body he did at that age, a lot of the same moves, and the same upside.
I said compare these players based on style...not talent level. So GG as Tmac is nice...although I think GG is more like JR Smith with a couple more inches.
