In current parameters, BOS would receive several picks and no players, sources say. Have to think No. 3 would be involved.

The Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics have held serious talks involving the first overall pick.

The Celtics would receive multiple draft assets from Philadelphia in exchange for the No. 1 pick. The 76ers own the third overall pick in this year's draft as well as several future draft picks.

Markelle Fultz is widely assumed to be the preferred choice at No. 1 for both the Celtics and 76ers.

Adrian Wojnarowski reports the two sides are "deep into talks" and Philadelphia is waiting on medical information on Fultz.

Yes, i thought this might be happening when Ainge decided to bring in Dennis Smith. I think he wants one of Jackson/Tatum/Isaac and will get his PG later.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Or he's committing to Thomas as his point guard and he'd rather pick up an elite player at another position rather than moving one of Thomas or Fultz off the ball.

Yeah I don't see ball going to the lakers. If they stay where they're at, they should take Fox.

I actually think Ball falls to the Kings at 5. Isaac to Suns.

    1. Fultz
    2. Fox
    3. Jackson
    4. Isaac
    5. Ball

And it wouldn't shock me if Kings took Tatum. Ball is going to go lower than expected imo

Too many PGs, too many teams picking high who already have PGs.

Even Philly thinks it's got its PG in Ben Simmons. They need a scorer in the 1 spot, and that's Fultz I guess.

Never thought Ball made sense for the Lakers.

I see a large majority of mocks lately with Markkanen at 7. If the wolves actually take him we should call em up about Dieng.

More likely scenario is that they'll be picking Markkanen for us though loll.

    Right?

Watch us make a major trade the night before and we are all stuck at my place eating burgers and twiddling our thumbs with no picks left. Lol.

    That would be my luck.

too bad your down south bro, you will be missed.

It makes a lot of sense. Celtics probably need a small forward more than they need a point guard, 76ers need a point guard first and foremost but probably not one that cannot shoot (Fox). I wonder what picks would be included but I feel Celtics will be looking for 1 high pick (76ers 2018? Kings 2019 is probably too much. I feel Lakers 2018 is most likely) rather than several low picks as they have too many of those already from the past waiting on their chance (Yabusele and Zizic coming soon).

Sixers take Fultz with 1, Celtics get Tatum or Jackson with 3 and then have two top 10 picks next year.

I wonder if Danny Ainge ever got that memo from Olshey that trades should be beneficial to both parties? I'm sure he sends the other one a bottle of aspirin as part of the deal though.

If Martell Webster taught as anything, is that you don't fuck with your high draft pick.
You pick the best player available and you let it play out until you have better data on these young players.

Too many GMs playing with their food imo.
Thomas AND Bradley cannot be a part of the Celtics' future, it just doesn't make sense.

My hope is that somehow we benefit from any draft day scenario. Sometimes players can drop due to teams moving up or moving down. A player being selected early can push the whole order haywire. I've seen it happen before.

I can't be the only one thinking that a backcourt consisting of a 5'9 pg and a 6'3 sg is going to come back and bite Boston in the ass. Maybe if Fultz had elite wingspan and was a proven defender but he is neither. I don't get it. Would think Jackson would be a better fit in Bos.
