I don't know, I might be overrating James and Hughes a lot here, but I think these can be one of the best, or if not the best in the NBA/East, w/e, if they played like they did against Toronto. I been saying over and over again, if these two guys can play with each other, and learn with each other, they would be one of the best duos in the NBA.Yeah, I know, WAY over my head, but it's just a gut feeling when ever those two do well, we win.Kinda, well, unstoppable. :winkglasses:
Hughes is a nice player but him and LeBron aren't going to do anything spectacular. Cleveland needs a tougher, more reliable player than Larry Hughes. $13 MIL a year for 15 points and 4 boards and some good defense? I just don't buy into Larry Hughes, I personally think a lot of people overrate this guy, he is definately a good player but if you think Hughes and LeBron are going to make Cleveland contenders you are sorely mistaken. He is a good piece to the puzzle but he's not the answer, once Cleveland gets a solid point guard they will be something to worry about.
LeBron and Hughes are nowhere near the top duo, no way. You have T-Mac/Yao, AI/Melo, Wade/Shaq, Chauncey/Rip, Gilbert/Butler, Deron/Boozer, Duncan/Parker, Kidd/Carter, Nash/Marion or Amare, Kobe/Odom, Artest/Bibby, Allen/Lewis, Dirk/Howard, etc. I mean PLENTY better than LeBron/Hughes. Hughes is best suited to be a 3rd option in the NBA.

Besides Iverson and Melo, but they are not doing anything great this season anyway. Give us a avg PG, and have them be together for one more year, and I'm sure we will be top in the league.
Sorry but Cleveland has a lot more problems that needing an "average pg"They won't be top in the leagueThere's way better tandems in the league..I think CB32 mentioned them all
We don't need a true point guard. We need a power forward that can play defense down low, that can stop guys like Bosh/Howard/ etc. But as the last 5 games show, when Hughes and James just do avg scoring we don't lose. Hughes is a streaky shooter though, he has nights were he will go 1-9, and the next 10-15. But all he has to do is play an average ball game, and Cleveland is gonna be a VERY hard team to beat.

Look at every tandem I listed above (I'm sure I left out a couple as well, by the way), time spent together doesn't even need to be accounted for. The overall talent level of those combined players is better than the combined talent of LeBron and Hughes. LeBron is great, but like I said above, Hughes is not a legit 2nd option in the NBA, I'm sorry. He's a good player, he's a very solid all-around player, but he's not a second option. He's a 3rd option type of guy.
