I would do CJ for KP.

If the goal is to try to contend now...

    CJ/Vonleh/15th for KP and Noah.

    Crabbe/20th/26th for Paul George.

    Dame/Napier
    Turner/Patty
    George/Harkless
    Porzingis/Aminu
    Nurkic/Davis

That's a pretty damn good rotation right there. I think good enough to contend against the Warriors.

I think it was a comment on your offer being worse that the L*kers are reportedly offering.

Not saying the pacers would take it. I have no idea what LA is actually offering. Many reports have said that nobody wants to offer anything good for a one year rental. With that said, stren is acting like I'm the first person to float that trade idea.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I couldn't agree less with this analysis, outside of the fact that Green can't create for others. PER is a terrible measure, especially in this case where defense matters so much. Beyond that, a major flaw with PER, that just about every statistical analyst has pointed, out is that it rewards shooting more, regardless of how efficient that shooting is.

Let's look at some other measures. (I'm using their career numbers, since both have been in the league long enough for it to be representative and neither is old enough to clearly be in their decline phase.)

    Danny Green: .567 TS% / .400 3P% / 1.3 OBPM / 2.0 DBPM / 108 ORtg / 101 DRtg
    Evan Turner: .490 TS% / .298 3P% / -2.5 OBPM / 0.5 DBPM / 97 ORtg / 106 DRtg

Green is a much more efficient scorer, contributes much more to his team's offense when he's on the floor and contributes much more to his team's defense when he's on the floor. I tossed in their three point shooting percentages because it goes a long distance (pun intended) in explaining why Green easily outdistances Turner on the offensive end. Shooting matters---a lot. It matters more than Turner being a decent (but not great) play-maker.

The Blazers would be a much better team with Green on the roster instead of Turner, even if Green moved to small forward. He would give the team a genuine defensive ace (something Turner is not) that would also preserve their spacing. Turner's lack of shooting prevents him from starting, or playing starter's minutes, despite being one of the team's best defensive players.

Green has been on one of the best teams in the league for the majority of his career. Evan Turner was on the Sixers. Also, I gave you 10 numbers other than PER. Green is not a 'vastly' better player and for a starter, he plays as many minutes as our guy off the bench.

I avoided quoting win shares for exactly that reason. I don't think Turner would be a much better defender or shooter had he simply played on better teams.

I focused on PER because most of the other stats were basic production stats, which PER already factors in. Assist Rate was a point in Turner's favor but I stipulated that at the beginning of my response to you.

As for the minutes Green plays, that can be directly attributed to the team he plays for. The Spurs are one of the deepest teams in the league and Popovich is famous for using all of his depth. Turner played reserve minutes despite the Blazers not being a particularly deep team and badly needing as much defensive presence as possible.

Just because it has been said doesn't mean it makes any sense. No way that comes close to other offers the pacers will get.

How to beat GS? Size w/mobility.

Going the opposite rout is how you beat GS - go big.

Nurkic + Porzingis would be the first step in building a team to take down the Warriors.

To get a player of his caliber I think you have to offer Dame.

I agree with the part about size/mobility and have posted before in detail how that might be accomplished. When everyone is going small, go big and make them deal with you.

A player and 2 firsts. That's what I proposed. We have no idea what's currently on the table or what they can get for him. By all accounts, many teams are scared away because of his desire to go to LA.

CJ is strong enough to carry a team on his back, he's shown that numerous times, yet a guy who can't win games as number 2 IN THE EAST is rated way above him in this forum.

CJ is always the sacrificial lamb, yet no one can even discuss *theoretically* about the possibility of trading Lillard on this board.

You gotta be fucking kidding me....

I don't see going big as being that effective when you're putting the ball not in your 2 best player's hands, by asking to be lead by Nurkl and Porzingas, but also they're still going to run you to death, and their 3 is worth more than our 2.
Regardless, without moving CJ or Dame, I think the only way to land Porzingas is by capitalizing on the great month and a half Nurkic had for us, and selling high on him in a swap of the 2.

Exactly! We don't even know if Nurkic can stay healthy.
Porzingis is the model for today's Center position. I like Nurkic, but Porzingis is a better matchup against the Warriors.

The only reason that Phil Jackson wants to trade this kid is this kid hurt his ego without this kid showing up to his exit meeting.
