Am I the only one that thinks Andre Iguodala and Big Al deserve to be in the MIP talks more? I haven't heard either player get mentioned for it once. Iggy has made a great transition as the #1 option for Philly and has been putting up great all around numbers. The guy has gone from averaging 12ppg 6 rpg and 4 apg to 18 ppg, 5.5 rpg, and 5.5 apg. I wouldn't be suprised if he gets his ppg average up to 20 by the end of the season aswell the way he has been progressing as the leader of the team.Big Al has finally shown he isn't going to be a bust. He has been one of the most dominant big men in the East more recently and keeps looking better and better this season. He's dominating the post in pretty much every way from what I've seen from him. He's been scoring great, grabbing a load of boards, and playing greta interior defense. I don't see why he isn't getting more discussion for the award.
If Al went to college he'd be up there with Oden/Durant in the talks..maybe not THAT high but he'd be a top 5 pick in this year's draft IMO..as a Junior in College right nowIguodala..meh I think he should get a little mention but he has been better because Iverson left..and he improved midseason because he had tobut you could also say Al improved midseason because of Pierce being injuredI think both deserve mention but neither should win it
The reason u don't hear talks of MVP with Iguodala is because the Sixers aren't one of the better teams in the league. Yeah, I know he is the MVP of the Sixers, but to earn the title, the Sixers would have to be a much better team.

Definately. Iggy has taken on a big role with the 76ers becoming their leader after Iverson was traded. And Al is nice company with PP34.
For the last time, Big Al should not be most improved. We all knew he could do this. He had 18 MPG last year getting limited touches on the offensive end. This year he's our 2nd option playing 33 MPG. We all knew he would do this, it was just a matter of time.

We all know Jerry Sloan was holding him back last year, now his minutes are up and he's putting up more numbers. For me, Deron isn't in the MIP discussion. Later draft picks that have come out of nowhere like David Lee and Kevin Martin are my top 2.

Now you've gone and made me think you're just THAT stupid...
Why don't you contribute something to the thread instead of critiquing ONE little thing I said that would probably be true if Al went to college and was a junior right now..if he was making the same strides he's making now..are you a moron?
Iggy is a great player, but I dont think he will win MIP. I agree with Brewcitybucks. People like david lee and kevin martin came from nowhere. People expected Iggy to be a good ball player.
I should've been a little more specific whn I made the topic. I don't feel these guys should win it. I think that's between Kevin Martin, David Lee, and Monte Ellis. I just think we should hear these guys in the discussion ofr it more.
