The only reason why the other teams score a lot is because they take more shots because of the tempo.
Re: Dallas has no answer for Amare Stoudemire! ^Your right there...but then again, I've yet seen the Suns able to run an effective and consistent half court game against teams like Dallas and SA, that CAN and WILL slow them down at some point in a 7 game series. I don't like their half court defense either...but the points allowed arguement isn't a good one really.
Re: Dallas has no answer for Amare Stoudemire! Yes, they aren't as gooddefensively as either the Mavs or Spurs, but I fully believe they are clearly better offensively than either team as well. What killed the Suns last year against the Mavs was that when the game was slowed down, the Mavs didn't have to worry about any points in paint since Suns had no inside presence. With Amare, things have changed quite a bit. They have instantly become much better offensively than last year, although numbers won't show.As I said before, a Mavs-Suns series would come down to Josh Howard and the Mavs role players. If Dirk is all alone as the scoring option for the Mavs, and no one else steps up big, I can't see the Mavs beating the Suns.
Re: Dallas has no answer for Amare Stoudemire! Actually what killed the suns is getting badly outrebounded and the game slowing down. Diaw was definitely an interior prescence in that series until Diop took that away. The mavs outrebounded the suns despite not playing Dampier.

The Suns still don't play defense, thats all I need to know.</div>stupid comment. Their high ppg allowed is due to pace. They keep their opponenets to a low FG%, low efficiency, and have one of the better points per possesion allowed in the league. It's kind of stupid at this point to say they're bad defenders.

Without anyone outside of Nash that could get points in the paint, the Mavs could just sit out on the jumpshooters. With a premier player in Amare down low, that will open up the jumpshooters. Diaw was NOT an inside presence at all.The game is going to be slowed down this year as well, but with Amare the Suns will actually have a consistently good halfcourt offense. Last year they did not.
Re: Dallas has no answer for Amare Stoudemire! Yeah, BCB's just an arrogant hater. BCB, you need your ego popped, because it's bigger than Tony.If the Suns and Mavs face off, it'll be one of the best series ever.
