I have two different vices, both on the smaller end. but they generally get the job done.
I got them for free too. Can't beat that.
I wouldn't have thought it wasn't tight enough, so thank you sly.

I turned all the 90 degree bends in my house water lines into 45 - small straight - 45 degree bends, really improved the water pressure, lol. I like sweating copper.

I had a bunch of leftover copper from a project years back so I took it over to my parents house and showed my mom how to sweat copper, we built a killer arbor for her climbing rose.

Sure, but once you solve the sink problem with step 1, you need to implement step 2 within a day or so.

Harbor Freight has a cool little solar panel water pump, thinking about making one of these fence fountains.

I was on vacation in Santa Barbara last week, staying at fragrance free gourmet vegetarian B&B. And the toilet clogged. I had to call, embarrassed, ask for a plunger, and explain I did not put anything there but what belonged. A woman came with plunger, mop, and bucket, looking cross, and said she did not know why she was sent as she did not know what she was to do. I explained a plumber had shown me the proper way to use a plunger last time the toilet in my house stopped up (I still had to pay him). I had made the mistake of plunging with all my might. He told me the trick is get a good seal and then tap tap tap, like playing drums. Although the woman protested I was the guest and not supposed to do work, I demonstrated. Worked like magic. So now she also knows how to clear a toilet.
