Maybe Trump isn't actually president right now. Maybe the CIA secretly made Obama President-for-Life and has made it look like Trump got inaugurated. That would explain the crowd size discrepancy. Wake up, sheeple! barfo
The fuss is a cloud over his presidency. He wants this nonsense to go away. Not hard to figure it out.
Did you hear Saddam has WMDs? The government assured us he did. And those North Vietnamese attacked our ships in the gulf of Tonkin. It must be true, the government says so! Probably still some people in the agencies from those Vietnam years.
What a non-guilty person would do is say (repeatedly) "We have evidence that Russia tried to hack our election. We have to investigate this thoroughly, find everyone we can who was involved and bring them to justice, and strengthen our voting systems so that no foreign power can ever do this again." What Trump's done - continually deny that there was a Russian hack, try to derail the investigations, and do nothing whatsoever about protecting future elections - is what a guilty person would do. barfo
He has said those things, that he wants a thorough investigation, etc., and it didn't change the shit storm of bullshit coming his way. It's become clear over the many months that nobody we can arrest and prosecute was involved in any way. It's not up to the president to do something about protecting future elections. The president doesn't make laws. That's up to congress. What else do you have?
hey barfo, Lester Holt interview on NBC. http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...ey-whether-he-was-under-investigation-n757821 "I know I'm not under investigation," Trump told Holt during the 31-minute White House interview. The president also said he supports a full investigation into Russian interference in the U.S. election last year, saying he wants the probe to be done "absolutely properly." "As far as I'm concerned, I want that thing to be absolutely done properly," Trump said. "Maybe I'll expand that, you know, lengthen the time (of the Russia probe) because it should be over with, in my opinion, should have been over with a long time ago. 'Cause all it is, is an excuse but I said to myself, I might even lengthen out the investigation, but I have to do the right thing for the American people." Trump added of the investigation, "I want that to be so strong and so good. And I want it to happen." Asked by Holt if by firing Comey he was trying to send a "lay off" message to his successor, Trump said, "I'm not." "If Russia did anything, I want to know that," he said. (commie red, just for you) But Trump also insisted there was no "collusion between me and my campaign and the Russians." "Also, the Russians did not affect the vote," he said.
We've all heard this over and over on the MEDIA.....problem is, Trump will say whatever gets him out of trouble....cries wolf so many times he's become a joke when it comes to accountability.....yet you keep throwing his defenses at the wall, none of it sticks....I want Trump to fix things...and shut the fuck up about his popularity.....he's backtracked on so many issues that I don't see any fix.....the dems are toast denny...you can stop attacking a defeated army now...Pelosi and Warren aren't going to accomplish much...they're just too angry
I don't think the Russia investigation is the issue. It's the focus and mischaracterization of what it was that is the issue. Trump clearly wants it well known that neither he nor his associates were involved with the hacking, release of the information, etc. The hackers did hack Republicans, too, and released their emails. https://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/15/us/politics/colin-powell-emails-hack-donald-trump.html Colin Powell, in Hacked Emails, Shows Scorn for Trump and Irritation at Clinton
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/mar/21/russian-hackers-comey-gop-republican-graham/ Yet while those attempts infamously resulted in the release of damaging Democratic Party emails by the antisecrecy website WikiLeaks, Mr. Comey testified that the hackers involved declined to air the Republicans’ dirty laundry. “[T]here were not releases of material taken, hacked, from any Republican associated organizations,” Mr. Comey said at Monday’s hearing. A website implicated in the Russian hacking campaign did release GOP emails, however, rekindling questions over their origin and authenticity, as well as the intentions of the individuals responsible. (what is the truth? deep state isn't telling the truth, that's for sure)
Yes, he's said those things occasionally, but not consistently and far less often than he's said the opposite. A bit like you saying 'fuck trump' occasionally. It aint fooling anyone. That's a really lame argument Denny. Nobody said new laws were necessary. Pretty sure it's already illegal for foreign governments to interfere in our elections. What's needed is enforcement. And yes, elections are run by the states. But defense against foreign attacks is a federal responsibility. barfo
Nobody is stopping the state police agencies nor the federal ones from protecting election infrastructure from hacking. What makes you think the feds aren't working to defend against foreign cyber attacks? https://techcrunch.com/2017/05/13/trumps-cybersecurity-executive-order-is-a-good-first-step/ Trump’s cybersecurity executive order is a good first step A significant piece of cybersecurity news erupted last week, although it was nearly drowned out by the growing flap over President Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey. There are two overriding points regarding President Trump’s executive order (EO) outlining plans to improve data security for federal agencies and to better protect critical U.S. infrastructure. Firstly, this development was truly important — a serious call to action to beef up government cybersecurity measures at a time when breaches dominate the headlines and mounting worries about a future cyber war among nation-states are legitimate. Secondly, while this executive branch step was absolutely necessary, it is insufficient. We need to go much further.
Yes, I'm sure state police really know a lot about stopping foreign governments from hacking. To them internet security is having a 50yr old detective pretend he's a teen girl online to catch perverts. Noble task but not going to do much to stop major hacking attacks.
The fact that until yesterday, the president denied they even existed. Since Trump has admitted the Russian role now, do you also? Or are you still in the 400 lb guy on a bed camp? [No, I'm not talking about the summer camp you went to as a teenager]. barfo
