    Hey.

As all of you know, im from Brazil. And we have a lot of Blazers fans here.

Most of the Brazilians fans hate a lot the trade and the pick (Zach Collins)

They have sure he will be Meyers 2.0, and we gonna still suck for a lot of years. We dont have cap space and they dont have any faith in our future. I have, i still believe that dame cj and nurk can improve their game a lot.

But, i really wanna know what you guys think about this Rookie. What about the #26?

Since the wolves have buttler now, our conference is in a high level.

I hope the blazers can improve.

Rest easy, Brazil. There are still moves that can be made. We're actually in a pretty good (not great, but pretty good) position to help facilitate a deal between two or three other teams, and by doing so we can potentially turn questionable contracts into cap flexibility and/or better players.

Meyers can shoot, but his jumper is the opposite of quick release. Unless he's left wide open the D can contest and effect it, dramatically lowering his accuracy. In addition, he has confidence issues and very poor feel for the game.

At only 19 it may take a while for Collins to fill out for banging inside. Maybe he struggles with confidence trying to fit in? But he's got great form on his J and it's a very quick release. Fingers crossed

We didn't lose anybody and we've added talent and youth to the bench.....the draft is always a gamble....at least we didn't go for the guy with bad knees..both guys we drafted are skilled..the game will need to slow way down for both as well...couple years from probably having a big impact on the team unless they win a spot somehow in training camp or early in the season.

I don't think we sucked last year. I think we did not meet expectations, but we made the playoffs and therefor we won't "still suck". I think a full offseason for Nurk knowing his permanent role going forward will translate to a better season.

All Collins has to do is out perform Meyers. If he can't do that then this move was a big mistake... I'm not concerned about him having trouble doing so.

I'm just excited see how much improvement all our bigs make by playing against Nurk in practice....it's going to be some Bosnian boot camp come training camp

    Collins>>>Leonard
    Swanigan>>>Leonard
    EDIT: dviss1>>>Leonard

I'm still rooting for Myers to step up his game, but I'm not worried cause both the draft picks are much better than him at basketball.

Layman, Vonleh, Aminu, Davis, Harkless, Connaughton.....Leonard might be better than Quarterman..hard to say but he's gotta hill to climb this summer..do or die offseason for Meyers...he needs basketball to click or move onto a career as a televangelist

It's starting to get anoying now
"OH MY GOD NO THE NEXT MEYERS" just because he's fucking white
you actually have to watch him play about 10 seconds to see that this is the only similarity between the 2
Seriously this is starting to piss me off

OK I edited my post to reflect your assessment of dviss1's post game fundamentals.

I was telling a buddy that after watching some film on Collins I would probably be stoked if he wasn't white (I was meh not knowing much about him), lol. So I decided I'm going to give him a chance, he looks really fluid out on the court and seems to have a good feel for the game.

Has Meyers hit Three Swish3's in a row on the Blazers court? :dunno:

@BrunoSOC .... rest easy, Collins isn't like Meyers. He has a big of a nasty streak to him, can score on the block with either hand, steps out occasionally for an outside shot but only to stretch the floor and then goes right back to the post. Does a lot of little things that won't show up in the box score to make teammates better.

Was named 1st-Team All Tournament off the bench as a Freshman. It's a common initial reaction that he is Meyers 2.o but he doesn't play anything like Meyers.

Well if I was ML and just saw that the team I play for just drafted two bigs to replace me this what I do:
    1. Pat the wife on the ass.
    2. Pat the dog on the head
    3. Head to the gym and don't come out until training camp.
    4. If that fail then you tell the wife pack the suitcases because I was just been traded.

When Flamenco signed Zico he was massively talented but a thin little weakling. What happened after he spent a year in the weight room? That worked our pretty well for Brazil, didn't it? I am not saying that Collins is THAT talented. But you might be surprised.

Curious, how many Gonzaga games did y'all watch over in Brazil? Watched him all season in Spokane, and have no idea why anyone would ever suggest that his game is anything close to Meyers Leonard. This kid is a player.

More likely watching Pac-12 games. It'd be sad if I was in Sal Paulo and had to watch Pepperdine and USF on a regular basis. Waka Waka! :smack:
