Besides the clothesline the major thing he did was running through a screen since he's been here. He hasn't done anything dirty. And before he came here I think he did 1 more thing...Kobe has been a lot more "dirty" in the last couple years. And that's really a fact.Kobe: Multiple elbows on Raja, elbow to Barbosa, Mike Miller, these 2 incidents this yearRaja: Clothesline, running through a screen that no one saw...You can hate Raja for exaggerating contact, for his team beating you and for the clothesline of course, but with what Kobe's done recently it is hard to say that he's more dirty. And if you talk about the little things he does while defending someone, well, he's just playing good, smart D like Kobe likes to draw fouls. If Kobe's going to try to draw fouls he needs to go watch more tapes of Reggie Miller and learn to do it correctly.Btw, Bowen and Manu, even though I like their games, are more dirty than both players.

"I think he was trying to draw a foul, and he swung his hand out to make it look dramatic, and he hit me by accident. He clearly struck him hard in the face, and we've been through this before. You'd think he would have learned by now.

Those elbows were nothing more then a great acting job by Barbosa and Raja. Mike Miller one though was the only one that was intentional

It's very, very stupid but with the precedent the league set by suspending him the first time he had to do it again. But it's a shame that something like this warrants a suspension... The guy is trying to get a foul called for him and flails and happens to hit a guy who's right next to him, how is that anything other than incidental contact?Guys all over the league in every single game try to accentuate the actual amount of contact they get on any given play and they let it slide and even give them the call at times.Sure, it sucks if you're the guy that got hit but at the same time how often do you see players accidentally catch an elbow from guys going for rebounds or trying to prevent a made shot and nobody ever suspends guys for accidental stuff like that do they?Mike Miller getting the throat elbow - completely and obviously intentional and warranted a suspension but this Ginobili thing (who makes a CAREER out of doing the SAME EXACT THING KOBE DID TO HIM) and now Jaric is just out of hand.I'm really at a loss for words here, Stu Jackson needs to be fired.

I'm not a fan of Stu Jackson either. But the same exact thing happening over a couple months? Hitting someone in the face that hard so frequently doesn't really happen.

If you look at both clips of Kobe striking an opposing player with his off-arm, it's obvious what is happening. In both instances, Kobe's jump shot is blocked and the ball shoots up into the air. While hanging in the air, Kobe attempts to contort his body to pursue the ball. Watch the videos. Watch his head and eyes. He focuses on and pursues the ball. If you try it yourself, if you jump in the air and then try to change direction, your arms will flail naturally as you try to gain some momentum. While explaining it's rule on incidental contact, the NBA's website states that "[t]he mere fact that contact occurs does not mean a foul has been committed. Players are allowed to contact other players when reaching for a loose ball, or when performing normal offensive and defensive movement" (http://www.nba.com/features/misunderstoodrules_051128.html). Nothing is more normal than physics. When you watch Kobe shoot a jump shot, his off-arm doesn't swing back in that manner; only under this circumstance does this normal motion occur. It's neither a cheap shot nor a dirty play.

It's funny how you Kobe haters believe everything the Media says. When it comes down to it the only person who truely knows if it was intential or a accident is Kobe and if he says it was a accident I believe him. Besides do you really think he would want to put his team in danger of losing games by purposly hitting someone and getting himself suspended? Come on now.....

I remember someone says the NBA stood for " No bitches allowed" and really suspending someone for a play like that is ridiculous...Maybe it was on purpose maybe it wasn't, either way I don't think it deserves a suspension...

lol You think Leandro Barbosa is a dirty player, kb24? That's stupid to say. This is obviously on purpose. What kind of stupid ref would call a foul in your favor if you reach out and smack somebody in the face?

Kobe deserved this suspension. The first one was a bit ridiculous, but he should have learned. He kept on doing the move, hurt another person, intentioanal or not, with the same move he hurt Ginobli with. He should be suspended on pure idiocity for doing that.

Well, I say that if a player is an actor(flopper) then they're somewhat dirty. So that's my interpretation. But Barbosa's certaintly not an actor either. He plays the game the right way.

Kobe did this intentional, but he wasn't trying to hurt him. Kobe apologised right after it happend. Second, Kobe ALWAYS does this move trying to draw the foul. At worst this is a flagrant foul. If this grants a suspension then the NBA is seriously turning into the biggest pussy sport ever. I remember last month when Gary Payton was suspended for Arguing...I mean wow..obviously it was intentional but in no way was he trying to be malicious.

I have never seen any player shoot then flail his arms around like a douche until the past 2 times kobe's done it. He didn't do it last year in the playoffs.
