I'm glad the didn't trade for him. I know it can be frustrating at times but the course this team is heading right now is the correct one. You have to take the good with the bad and as we approach July 4th they're still in first place.

...Quintana is still a front end pitcher...not sure why people are down him...he had 2 horrendous starts back to back which have skewed his stats somewhat...his peripherals are pretty much where they've always been. He's still young and under team control till 2021.

of course Rome wasn't built in a day or year. Yet, we all know the Yanx have deep enough pockets to put a world class team and dynasty on the field. Rebuilding our talent pool or youth was first priority. Of course Pitching takes a bit longer to develop. Perhaps there's an ace up their sleeves for a Winter Mtg series of Pitchers, or we simply need time to develop our own; however I'm not buying, there is no excuse why we've got this staff and I'll give Tank a pass (tho' he doesn't always pitch like a #1 man, too inconsistent), I'd give Seve and Monty a pass, but the others are taking roster spots better suited for Vets who can lead this team for years to come.

Sure they're in much better shape in the standings than anyone assumed they'd be, but, but............ that's not enough. Not expecting playoffs this year, however had they of started the season off with a SP Staff to speak of, in lieu of over achievers, where would they be know. In sole possession of 1st, how many games out, enough to not look back???? That's what I expect, even tho' I'd give 'em a free ride this year, IF only Trashcanman or the Kids would simply state their long term objectives with this team in lieu of the bullshit rhetoric we've only heard, and still hear.....~~!!!

Don't understand austin dh and romine at first? Also would have liked to see wade in there who has played some left. Refsnyder stinks.

Per a River Avenue Blues report I read this AM Tyler Wade had gotten the call. Jesus Christ Joe, I know you know things about this team that I don't but how'd you figure that lineup.

...I would imagine it has to do with Castro being on the DL.

Austin does not look like a good hitter. Can't take a ball down the middle like that with 2 runners in scoring position. Should be protecting against any strike instead of guessing on the pitch

    ...10 day DL

    YANKEES SEND CASTRO TO DL
The New York Yankees placed 2B Starlin Castro (hamstring) on the 10-day disabled list. They also recalled LHP Tyler Webb from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. New York signed and selected INF/OF Tyler Wade from Triple-A, and optioned RHP Jonathan Holder to Triple-A.

Note to offense: scoreboard shows Rays/Pirates tied at two. If you can't find the moxie to start kicking some ass you'd best hope Pittsburgh wins.
