Personally I think he should not opt out. I don't think he will get more money, but I am glad because I believe Dallas has a great shot at him during free agency. We've been after him through trade, and he loves Dallas. It's perfect.
I'm sure he'll find a home somewhere... and I guess he wants to see how much he can get on the market. But like Rok said, I doubt he gets more than the $4.95 million he would make under this contract.
It says he's going to EXCERCISE his player option, meaning he's going to take it and stay on another year. There's 2 options: opt out or excercise your option. You misinterpreted this. He's saying that he's going to say.
