Ugh. If anything I was hoping he'd stay in the East.

    OKC are MUCH better now.

    Westbrook
    Roberson
    George
    Gibson
    Adams

Three of the five starters are defensive specialists - George/Westbrook have the green light.

Durant straight up CHOKED a ton of games back with the Thunder. Saying Russ froze him out isn't accurate. Remember the fuss about him being dubbed "Mr.Unreliable" by the local OKC press? Look it up. When the pressure is on, he threw up bricks. That's why he needed to be a front runner and go to GSW where the pressure was off.

Oh yeah. Warriors are great, no doubt. But people are selling them as this unbeatable superteam when in reality, they only look so tough because they went against:

    A) Blazer team without Nurkic (before trade, that team was a few losses from a Top 5 lottery pick)

    B) Jazz without George Hill and with injured Rudy Gobert. That team wouldn't make 8th seed.

    C) LMA-led Spurs without Kawhi and Parker (can you tell me that team is that much better than the LMA-led Blazer team that won 28?)

Give any title contender those teams and they'll win each series 4-0.

Meanwhile, Blazers were at a near 60 win pace with Nurkic (if you go by win percentage). Three players had 20+ PER (elite category). Add Paul George to the mix and you have a legitimate threat to any team, any era.

Of course, I guess it was not meant to be.

Meh. Got a star, weakened their depth.

I know I'm in the majority, I just feel like PG is overrated. And if he walks to LA next summer, it works out great for us.

I think you may be over rating George. He is very good, but the guy didn't even make the all NBA team and you are all treating him like he is a super star. IMO he is borderline super star with potential locker room issues. Not sure his teammates all like him that much. Still wish we had him though.

They got out from under a contract that would have weighed them down. OKC made a great trade for the short term and long term.

I don't need to look up anything. I'm versed and knowledgeable about everything that went on in OKC. Sure, I remember that punk-ass newspaper that resembles The Oregonian helping run Durant out of town. I read the whole article. Thought it was some bullshit at the time and my opinion hasn't changed. Durant hated playing with Westbrook. I'm not sure why you're trying to revise history.

Yeah KD Choked and Westbrick performed like usual.
19 points on 21 shots in game 7 against the Warriors.
You don't want me bringing up the game 5 or 6 numbers.

Short term, yeah. I guess. It really depends how you feel about PG. I deem him vastly overrated.

Long term, I'd be upset as an OKC fan.

You can post all the lowlights you want but answer this:

After all that "Mr Unreliable" shit did they not only want but HOPE Durant Durant would re-sign?

Don't answer that because we both know that question was rhetorical.

    Then there's this:

Durant always spoke highly of Westbrook. In his MVP speech, he said Westbrook was an MVP talent. He also defended Westbrook against Cuban.
