I'm not saying make a move to try and win it all next year but thinking that in 3-4 years we will be ready to win a championship by just standing pat and not making changes to start building that team NOW is just as silly.

When GSW super team is no longer, there will be another super team, and another after that. So
let me ask you this, what do you suggest we do now in preparation for the next mega team in 3-4 years?Keep guys around like AC,Harkless,Vonleh,Aminu? Or tinker with the roster once you realize those guys will NEVER be the difference maker and try and create a roster with champship potential or enough assets to trade for a superstar.

    Minny frontrunners for Milsap...

    Teague
    Butler
    Wiggins
    Milsap
    KAT

On paper they would be a better team than us. You have a great mix of scoring/passing/defense with this group.

Why not? We have plenty of room in the NW division Paul!

Remember a few years ago when the SW division was all good? That might be the NW this year

Millsap isn't even a good player anymore. Inefficient with declining defense. Would love to see Minny or Denver overpay.

My whole point was that we need to make moves that move us toward thst goal and "stand pat" on the superstar rentals. Sorry if i didnt make that clear, i could see where that got missed.

Maybe, but they'd have absolutely 0 bench to speak of. Millsap isn't that great anymore and Teague wouldn't be a top 10 PG in the West.

Wiggins is still bit a good NBA player. That team would finish a lot lower than projected.

    Defensivly he is.

But he's not worth a max deal at his age.

This is a short-term move - and it'd be a solid one if they sign him to no more than three years.

Ahhhh, ok. Then i agree. Just want to see obvious roster improvement that moves us in the right direction and so far, other then adding Collins, I haven't seen anything. Imo the whole roster sans CJ,Dame,Nurk should be very fluid until we think we've found something. No need to be trigger shy as long as its nots an obvious downgrade.

If you're a football player, I don't know how the hell you read figures like this and not yell at your union rep. I realize the roster sizes are different but talk about getting the short end of the stick!

I guess SAS isn't looking for a FA PG after all.
