Re: Why Can't People Admit Kobe is the Best in the NBA? No one in the NBA right now has the diverse set of skills that Kobe does. He must be just a complete nightmare to gaurd. His speed is blazing, his jump shot is impeccable, he is powerful, and his fakes are beleiveable. He shoots the fader while being guarded an off balance as good as he shoots open jump shots (Which we rarely say, dude never gets 3 inches to himself on the hardwood for good reason.) He is one of my favorite players in the league. Not my favorite, but I firmly believe he is the best. Every time I see him, he just looks like he is in another league, a league of his own, something above the NBA which is the highest most competitive league in the world.

Re: Why Can't People Admit Kobe is the Best in the NBA? As a Kobe hater turned lover I think I can answer this question. When people look at a person they don't just look at one aspect of the person. They look at everything. And while people look at Kobe as being a great player no doubt here's what they also see: Rape accusations (even if he was found not guilty), overexcessive unesccesary movements (Manu and Mike Miller), an anoyance that he seems to think he's so good, a ballhog (how can a guy average 35 ppg and not be a ballhog?), a guy whose life is so perfect (beautiful wife, lots of money, outstanding skills, public icon) and people become jealous. I know longer see this stuff in Kobe and I'm now a fan of his but I do know some of the reasons why people hate Kobe.
