I think Chicago traded two picks to Denver for #10 they used to pick McDermott. The two picks were Harris and Nurk.

I know the situations are a bit different. Wade took less to bring in LeBron and Bosh. But when he was up for his next check Riley expected him to take less so they could pay Whiteside. People think Curry should take less when he's been the most underpaid player in the NBA.

Steph Curry has NEVER had a max deal.

Fucking Milsap is getting 30 per and people think Curry's a dick for getting paid?

The Dubs were purchased for 450 mil and now they're worth almost 2 Bil?

He's the reason why GSW is worth 2 bil.

There should be no salary cap.

Stop acting like Hayward is going to let his wife pick for him because of the fallout if he doesn't, shit is ridiculous. They have two kids who are about to be set for life WHEREVER he signs. I'm sure she will still be happy even if she doesn't get to hang out on the Miami shores every day.

I don't disagree that there should be no salary cap. These players should let the market dictate how much they get paid.

For summer league? Yeah, I think a single Motel 6 would be enough. This isn't All Star weekend. Most casual fans don't even know the NBA is playing right now.

I don't think anyone is really saying that. It is true that wifey has some major pull in where you'll move to for a job. Just ask Hedo Turkoglu.

There are battles you pick with your wife and battles you don't. For hayward he may not care about winning and so if his wife wants miami, he gets to be the #1 option, no state income tax, and in the leastern conference, those things may all add up.

If he likes brad stevens as much as has been said and wants to go to the finals, boston is his place and he will have to convince his wife to be on board.

Again, he said he doesn't care about location, he cares about winning. MM is basically implying that Haywards wife carries his nuts in her purse and doesn't allow him to make decisions regarding his own career, which I can just about guarantee is bullshit.

It's not his own career anymore. When you get married and have kids its your family's decision. Not his own.

"It comes down to where I can compete for a title," he said. "Where I live -- that doesn't affect me. The limelight doesn't matter to me. I just want to make a run at it."

Amidst all the Hayward talk, we seem to have lost sight of him being "just" a fringe all-star. This time of year is crazy, where good players become regarded as great ones simply because everyone else says it is so. I don't see that he makes Miami a contender, and I'm not sure Boston is all that much better with him.

Shit man if you guys think he's locked into Miami because his wife likes it there then go ahead, I'm not going to argue this anymore.

Like I said earlier I think they will sit down and deliberate what the best situation is for his career, not where Robyn wants to go...

He deserves every bit of that money. I hate it when people bash players.... esp. football players for asking for more dough. "Oh they should lesson their demands so the team can sign more free agents." I've never seen an owner give up his wife's fur coat so they could improve the team. Allen is one in a million. Players create the labor they should be paid what their worth.
