Right now Bam been most solid rookie in the summer league. Fultz and Tatum had good games today and Leaf had a solid game.
I like Bam BUT especially in hindsight... I wouldn't have drafted him 14 or the 15th we used for Collins. Again, we've not even watched our boys in action yet but I've got strong feelings that Collins is worldS better to have vs. Bam; IMO, I'm thinkin' Swanigan's gonna b a better get vs. Bam
I am not comparing him to anyone I am just saying he having a strong summer league. I like who we drafted both players was on my radar. Bam wasnt but it looks like he will better Pro than college player. That happens it also see great college that didn't pan in the pros.
Bam wasn't really on my radar until I saw that vid of him nailing a bunch of outside jumpers with very nice form. That changed my view of him a lot. Not surprised he went lottery if he was doing that in workouts.
I think we will be a pretty disappointing summer league team in comparison to what we've seen lately.
If that dunk attempt by Griffin had gone down, it may have been one of the best in game dunks I have seen
Hopefully Collins shows up like these other high picks have. I don't want to hear about bigs taking longer to develop. Isaac and Bam both looked great.
I hope so too but without any good guards to set up the offense I fear we won't see anything promising
I said it from the get go that Tatum would be the best player out of the draft. His game is so smooth and effortless.
Agreed.....Ainge got the guy I think he wanted all along and picked up an additional 1st for his trouble.
You act like you've never watched SL before. While its nice if the guys you draft do good and show glimpses, the number of NBA scrubs who were SL MVP's is too long to list. I just want to see glimpses. Its a glorified pickup game with guys trying their best to impress and get a training camp invite.
Von Wafer looked like Michael Jordan in summer league. I remember when Josh Selby was just disgustingly good during SL.
Fultz looks good. But, he better learn how to play the point. He just doesn't have the size to be a great 2 guard IMO.
They ought to call Tatum "Smooth" because that is what he looks like. Just amazing ability to run the floor and drive the to the bucket at 6'8''. Kids going to make an impact right away. Maybe I was wrong about Danny. Depends on how Fultz does his rookie year.
There's a ton to like about Tatum; man, he's fun to watch & I love his attitude/demeanor. Now that Tatum's THE "Truth..." if I were Bos., I'd: forget about Hayweird, trade Isaiah Thomas (package w/ Jae for a really good pf/c), & then put J. Brown & Tatum interchangeably @ sg & sf.
Christ. Tatum is a Melo clone. For his sake - just don't turn into a blackhole who can't guard a chair like Melo.
I have to admit... TJ Leaf looked really good, actually surprised at how well he was running the floor and how aggressive he is.
The other bigs are showing more than glimpses. Our 26th pick dhould show glimpses. Our 10th pick should play very well
