The truth in the marriage thing is that there is a spectrum of behaviors. For me, every time I wanted to move for my job, my wife was hesitant, but I was able to talk her into the positives and once we moved she adjusted. However I have had friends whose wives forced them to leave a good job for a bad one "back home" that ended up in disaster and divorce.

A good husband takes into account the needs of his family, but sometimes has to have the vision and balls to make a move that he thinks will be good for them, but they just can't see it. And a good husband should look beyond his wife's flavor of the day, emotional reaction and think about what is really best for her and the family. I will probably take some heat for that last line, but my wife loves where we are now (great $$, great weather), but if I would have been subject to her opinions at the time I would still be stuck making half the $$ working twice the hours in a much worse location.

    All this is true.

However the pg market has dried up now (w/ respects to teams needing/paying for pgs; before this though, I didn't consider Hill), so Hill (no matter where he goes now) will come much cheaper vs. before.

Again, u r right, he's a starter that deserves starter's minutes (same can b said for Lin) BUT... he's also a team player type of guy & I think just as long as we gave him starter's minutes (coming off the bench mostly), he'd b happy:wink:

I like Napier as our backup pt guard...for the money, I don't think Hill would be happy as a backup here anyway..

That and he wanted more money than the Spurs were willing to give him. So they re-signed Patty Mills instead.

I'm not sure if Olshey is willing to move players in order to sign Hill. There's always that possibility.

By the way, I like the avatar change, buddy!

What? J-Cross is considered to be a good team\locker room guy as well as a source of inspiration for every second player in the league due to his elite ballhandling skills.

He's not a bad guy or a bad player Just because he didn't work out for Portland.

I like Napier too as our backup ESPECIALLY for the money  W/ this Hill talk (or Lin), I was thinking that we could bring in a vet. pg to take slack off (rest/decision making etc.) of Dame/Cj & have someone that could mentor Napier into becoming a better pg (& quite possibly as an added bonus, teach Dame & Cj a few tricks too:smiley-yup:).

Strange move. But at least Sactown is a long way off from the playoffs.

Fox is the future of a rebuilding Sactown, why do this deal? I'm guessing he's traded sooner to the front of the contract than to the end.

Yes, they will probably treat him as a trade asset in a few months anyway.

Should we just trade Dame and CJ and Nurk to the Cavs for nothing just to fucking balance shit?

I think its a good deal. Hill is a good player. He can play with fox or hield. Plus dude can mentor both of them.

For all this "mentoring" talk, I didn't see Exum making any major strides last season from the start to finish.

It's different because Jazz were competing for the playoffs. Kings are tanking anyway. In any case I don't think it was a very good move, he will just take away minutes from the young guys.

Don't really care where Hayward lands, but it would be comedic gold if he says "I gonna take my talents to South Beach."
