    Hello darkness, my old friend
Now Boston's offer of Crowder, Smart and several first-round draft picks should be back on the table for Paul George, since they got their free agent target!

I think they may wait to see how Tatum does against real NBA competition before they look to move Crowder. Maybe at the deadline.

I think they're waiting on Anthony Davis.

Well, I still think they're short of competing with Cleveland just to reach the Finals. Had they gotten Butler or George, they'd be a match for Cleveland. I don't know who's available now that could bridge the gap.

That still gave Jaylen Brown as a backup SF. Smart as a backup PG/SG and Rozier as well.

To pick a better set of stars. I predict Hayward being fairly average as the 2nd/3rd option.

Well Utah falls behind us for sure now. One bit of good news.

Anthony Davis is under contract for four more years--there's no urgency to move him and I'm almost 100% certain he won't be moved this coming season. They're going to give the Davis/Cousins/Holiday core a complete year to see how it meshes. In fact, I can't see them moving Davis for at least two years--at that point, he'd still have two years left on his deal, so he'd still have insane trade value.

Disagree. Guess we will see. I think Hayward is better than that and coaches seem to agree because he was an all star last year over plenty of worthy candidates.

IMO, Hayward is clearly the best player on Boston now. Thomas may retain "#1 option" status because he's the team's entrenched leader, he's the point guard and he does have a more of a scorer's mentality. But Hayward is all around better and I think he'll continue to be really good. Boston just needs one more star, now that Horford has declined from star to merely good player.
