You honestly believe we would be better off by getting worse on defense only to add a one dimensional 3pt shooter?

This how I look at this rumor that we get Ariza and Anderson. We loose Crabbe and maybe ML and maybe someone else. I would have starting lineup of Dame and CJ and Nurk and Ariza and Vonleh. Number 1 that a real good front court behind CJ and Dame. Number 2 Ariza is better 3 point shooter then Harkless and Vonleh has play his best ball playing with Nurk. Aminu Collins turner Napier Harkless.
The 2nd unit is also pretty good defense team and more likely CJ properly replace Napier. Your properly wonder what I did with Anderson well if need offense I would go with Anderson over Aminu.

You better put some qualifiers on that rhetorical question, because Mo's FG% is about 9% higher than Ryan's. His 2P% is a whopping 13% better, and their eFG% is essentially the same. Sooooooo, Ryan Anderson can get bent. Screen Shot 2017-07-06 at 5.27.32 PM.png

Oh god, not that one time in the HOU game again. Blind squirrels and acorns and all of that...

After that game on Talkin' Ball Orlando was jokingly referring to Allen Crabbe as Sneaky D and saying he hadn't had a chance to bust out that nickname since early December.

Please do not ever use Allen Crabbe and far superior defender in the same sentence ever again.

Do you also think Thomas Robinson is a great defender because you can remember a couple spectacular blocks he made?

but that would give us 2 one dimensional shooters...when before we had 1....if you can't score 130 a night you won't contend in the west anymore...you need defense but Mo wasn't putting the ball in the bucket much

I'm starting to think this whole thing was a rumor started by Neil to show us that.... "see, our players aren't so bad, we could have Ryan Anderson (and his contract) instead." :)

Blazers logic: re-sign Harkless last, trade him first!

I guess it's normal to get into some shady business with Daryl Morey, but to get hustled by the Knicks? that's an embarrassment right there.

Is Neil drinking enough water in the summer? taking too much drugs at pool parties? I think he is spending way too much time in the sun.
Neil must postpone all of his moves to the winter, the fresh air seems to make him a better GM.

If this horrible deal is completed, the "stars" of our bench (Crabbe,Turner,An_erson) would cost 56M/year! that's 56 million for only three placeholders!!

I don't want to give up Mo in this trade, but the stats you posted show Anderson's worth as a floor spacer. He doesn't just shoot a higher 3FG% than MO, he makes more than 3x as many 3-pointers per game than Mo. Defenses have to respect that. Guys that make that many 3-pointers get a lot more attention than guys who make less than 1 a game.

Again, not saying I want to gave up Mo in this deal, or that Anderson is better overall, just pointing out that when it comes to spacing the floor, Anderson is WAY more effective at it than Mo.

Nobody in the west outside GS and maybe mayyyybe Houston or OKC should be trying to "win now".

You make jokes but if it got really bad I would be very concerned about Meyers psyche and him thinking of killing himself. I think he could become that fragile.

There's a difference between the looks Harkless gets and the ones someone like Anderson gets. No team is game planning for Moe Harkless.

Allen Crabbe is a far superior defender than my 10 year old. :D

When we already have 3 capable 3-point shooters, it makes Anderson's impact - at a position where we already have too many players for not enough minutes - much less important. And with Pat, Jake, Swanigan, Collins, and even Nurk being reported to have 3-point range, Ryan Anderson can GET BENT. You need to have some players that can slash to take advantage of the defense staying out on all those "floor spacers".

The only thing I like in this thread is the opportunity to get Trevor Ariza, a legit 3 & D guy with two championship rings. Perfect vet to slide into starting lineup.

Yeah, Harkless cuts, catches, and dunks. And he's not done developing.

If Anderson is so great, then why has he been traded so many times?
