Is Morris appreciably better than Noah? Bradley would've been perfect here!

Noah is a borderline NBA player, so yes.

Does this mean that Detroit won't sign RFA Kentavious Caldwell-Pope?

They probably won't. They have Bradley and drafted Kennard.

KCP will probably be the Nets next target when Porter is matched.

Sadly, @JFizzleRaider is probably right which means the Nets would have not interest in Crabbe if that happens. Damn, Neil really hamstrung this roster/Cap.

Noah is also 21, Marcus is 27.

Marcus was better last year; not sure about moving forward. Also, not in love with his attitude or shot taking. More offensively gifted than Vonleh ever will be, probably.

That's a bad trade for Boston but they had to do this. Bradley is also expiring and they won't have money to extend both him and IT next year. Smart and Brown can both play SG and so can Hayward.

Because of the cap room they created with the Bradley trade, now they don't have to trade Crowder.

If they get rid of Crowder they will get nice return back. They don't have to get rid of anyone anymore, they have cleared the cap to sign Hayward with moving Bradley already.

Boston has so many options....now that they've landed Hayward, their will be plenty of good role players available around the league...I agree with Schilly....Olshey is like a shark waiting for the whales to stop feeding so he can swoop in and get a few tasty tuna fish

True... but Portland wasn't an option in a salary clearing move anyways. They still have too many small forwards that need playing time with Jaylen and Tatum... Vonleh and an unprotected 1st makes sense for both teams

Yeah, Neil really has hamstrung this roster. I mean, we haven't evolved at all since acquiring Turner/Crabbe.

Let's see, we went into the season with Plumlee and are leaving with Nurkic / Collins (top 10 pick) / Swanigan.

All of these acquisitions occurred after, supposedly, 'hamstringing' our roster. I'm pretty happy that Neil had decisions to make as it resulted in the Nurkic trade (no way we trade Plumlee if we have bundles of cap space) and ultimately a top 10 pick, that a handful of teams would be ecstatic about acquiring. I see more people give praise to Utah for trading up for Donovan Fucking(!) Mitchell (shout out Harrison Barnes) in this forum than they do Zach Collins.

Also, the alternative was to let Crabbe walk, probably miss out on Turner, then probably try and sign 1 year + team options for cap space for this off season or chase other (really overpriced FA, at least Crabbe shoots at an elite level, consistent or not)

Then what? Sign Tim Hardaway for 20 Mill? James Johnson for 20 mill?

Rememeber, we don't make the Nurk trade in this scenario as we have plenty of cap space for Plumlee, so we miss out on Z Collins as well.

We now have Dame/CJ/Harkless/Aminu/Plumlee Vonleh/Pat/Layman/Meyers/Davis whatever scrub we signed last year on most likely a 1+1 contract. Then we blow all our cap space on one of those dorks that just got 20 mill. We have no use for cap space - even if we had the most cap space in the league, we would get a role player for 20-25 million.
