A lot of family and friends in attendance. He shouldn't be down on himself. 1 scrab ball game in the books. How do you even get in rhythm when the guard play outside of Gutierrez sucked and the whistle is being blown non-stop.

I will agree he needs to get a little bit stronger, but I think the conditioning needs to get a little better. He'll be a player, he has all the tools.

Summer League is not exactly setup for big men to thrive. It's a small man's league.

That being said, color me impressed with Swanigan. Didn't think he was a sexy pick at the time but I started loving it in the hours after the draft (after reading the numerous articles and watching video). I can also say I'm not disappointed in Collins' debut, I didn't expect much with it being a small man's league. He'd have been better receiving the ball at his waist to chest, rather than ankles to knees.

Its a W, he was part of it. Instead of being down on himself he needs to use that for tommorow and play better. Bring it.

    Hey the Blazers are undefeated

Swanigan and Vonleh getting 20+ minutes at PF is just fine with me. Vonleh has shown he can switch out onto guards against a PnR. We'll see if Swanigan can do the same. Both are very active going after rebounds, a touch undersized, with long wingspans.

    Good for Portland.

The bikini contest sucked. Probably a couple dozen ridiculously hot girls at the pool but only cows were in the contest. I don't get it.

I'm sure the hot girls were thinking why get into a bikini contest with all the pervy old men there drooling in the pool.

    Predictable first game for Collins.

He'll get stronger and figure out what he can and can't do offensively. Thought he played well defensively though. Strength will be an issue but his IQ, mentality, mobility and overall tools/instincts should allow him to be above average at worst on that end in 2-3 years. And if he has legit nba range and can finish adequately in the pnr, he'll be a very valuable player regardless of whether or not he develops into much of a threat in iso/face-up/post scoring situations.

Biggie had his fair share of finishing issues as well but played with better energy, alertness and fundamentals on D than he showed in college. I view his ceiling as an in better shape, longer Jared Sullinger. Great pick at #26 if he hits, but still question how playable he'll be in the playoffs, but that's thinking way too far ahead.

None of the others are worth talking about. Looking forward to game #2.

Sounds to me from all accounts like Swanigan is better now, but Collins projects to be better over the long haul. Is that not what we all said when they were drafted?

Collins wasn't great overall, but there's a lot to like about what he can/will be in time. He's only going to get better from here, and has a lot of tools to do so.

Biggie looks like a man among boys out there.

Quinn Snyder scares me. Now I know why Hayward left.

Swannigan reminds me of Ben Wallace but with nice range! I like how he's always around the ball.

Here's a couple I stole from the internet.

"Quin Snyder looks like what would happen if Willem Dafoe used one telepod while 1990s-era Christian Slater stuck his face through the other."

"Quin Snyder looks like he had a non-speaking role as one of Patrick Bateman’s friends."

"Quin Snyder looks like The Scarecrow from Batman Begins. "
