    So? That doesn't explain why he had far fewer rebounds, far fewer assists and never led his team to the playoffs.

    Those choosing Petrie are voting based on nostalgia, not actual performance. Petrie was a good scorer, but that's all he was (well, that and a damn fine GM).

    Lillard is flat out better, and I think if you asked Geoff Petrie, even he would agree.

    I'm sure each of us has a little different criteria for the composition of our Mt Rushmore. For some, it's straight up performance, from beginning to modern day. Others, playoff success. Others, cummulative stats as a Blazer. I'm looking at it in terms of the "founders" who got us where we are today. Like Ramsey, Walton, Lucas, Petrie. Just my slant. Other slants are just as good. And interesting.

    To me it's simply about all time greats. Abe Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt were not founding fathers. If Mt. Rushmore were about "founders" you'd see John Adams and James Madison up there with Washington and Jefferson, instead of Lincoln and Roosevelt.
