Blazer staff is excited by seeing Biggie bring the ball up the court in summer league so they aren't concerned about Gordon's inability to play the 1. :-)

Yes....what is your longtime NBA source telling you? Of course some of this has been reported elsewhere but I heard this from a very specific place and also confirmed it with a source associated with another NBA team.

Portland may even pull out because they don't like what they are getting back. The Knicks want Mo' and are trying to figure out a way for them/HOU/other team to get enough to Portland to make it happen while still unloading 'Melo.

I didn't think he could, which is a shame because we'd have one of the best guard rotations in the league. We'd certainly have the best scoring with Gordon, by far.

Oh I was just being my usual sarcastic self about just how undesirable Crabbe, Turner and Meyers are. Carry on.

Gordon off the bench with Napier would be a strong 2nd unit guard rotation

Olshey likely wouldn't be having these conversations if there wasn't something he specifically wanted. I wonder what he is holding out for. Capela?

Meh, 2nd most games he's played in his career. Other than his rookie season and last year he's averaged 48 games per season.... Yeah... No....

    http://nypost.com/2017/07/12/knicks-and-rockets-move-closer-to-trade-as-pelicans-want-in/

The Pelicans, once the home of Ryan Anderson, expressed interest in being one of the clubs involved, according to a source. Anderson’s three-year, $60 million contract needs to be part of this transaction since Anthony’s $27 million pact — plus trade kicker — is so immense. The Knicks have no interest in Anderson because he plays Kristaps Porzingis’ position and is older than the mid-20s-type player the club seeks.

The Pels have nothing to offer really. Solomon Hill, Omer Asik and E'Twann Moore are making 12/10/8 million respectively. Maybe if Portland thinks swapping Leonard for one of those contracts is worth it. Asik's deal has 3 more years, with an ETO in 2020 that he would almost certainly exercise. Hill and Moore have 3 years guaranteed.

Wasn't there a rumor that Eric Gordon quit on Monte Williams?

When is the last time there has been such a convoluted trade that took days and different scenarios? Jesus this is insane.

Gordon + Ariza make the same as Anderson. While this trade, as listed doesn't work, making it work would be a piece of cake:

HOU just needs to send out an additional $688K and they have something like 8 guys making the league min of $1.3 million, six of them on non-guaranteed contracts. Give BRK their pick of any one, or two of those guys and it works under the CBA.

It gives HOU what they want (Carmelo), gives NYK what they want (Melo gone + Harkless), gives us three solid players in return, including Ariza who replaces Harkless in the starting line up, and lets us dump two of our three worst contracts. And even BRK FINALLY gets their SG after multipple failed attempts to land one as an RFA via an offer sheet.

Sprinkle in a few future draft picks here and there and get it done.

I think they would take Anderson too if he was making 12 million instead of 20.
